So, basically they are just like cain mines - broken and take little skill to use.
This confirms my suspicion that the Talon is a broken POS, even without cain mines.
Heck, pretty much ALL the final dlc's characters are hilariously overpowered. My guess is that the devs were just bored and were like "Huh, how can we make the most broken characters ever?"
I mean, consider;
Soldier with a shield regen skill and 14000 effective shielding
Adept that can oneshot kill groups of enemies with a skill at level 1
Engineer that can use grenades to annihilate almost any enemy in the game, THAT REGENERATES GRENADES. Oh, and cain mines, arrows that curve around corners, auto lock-on...
Sentinel with massive melee damage, massive DR, Massive shields, and HEALTH REGEN
A vanguard that can, in the proper hands, be effectively invincible, plus has turian passives and free shield regen and...
The AIU.
Seriously, they weren't even trying for balance at the end. They said screw the ounce of drawbacks and the lump of planning, lets just add two gallons of awesome and call it a day.
