Well its official bioware has to make him a LI! lol jk It doesn't really matter, IB seems like an interesting guy and a great addition to my team! Also i am glad that he will be noticeable different then other qunari besides the way he looks!

Not happy with this choice. I envisioned Iron Bull with a much lower and cavernous voice.

I hope his voice is digitally altered a bit to make it lower. It would be odd for the biggest Qunari we've ever seen to have one of the the highest voices of any Qunari we've ever heard.

Big doesn't necessarily mean deep voice. I know a dude who's almost 6'4" and his voice isn't particularly deep... and I know a guy who's only an inch or two taller then I am (I'm 5'3") and his voice is crazy deep.
It's pmuch just luck of the draw ![]()

This is the first news about Iron Bull that actually made me interested in the character. I expected a Clancy Brown or a Keith David, but Prinze did such a great job with Vega, I have no trouble imagining him as a Qunari.
Well played, casting department. Well played indeed.

Not a voice actor that particularly excites me personally.

I found it interresting of what he said about characters and main protaganist after 2.45. It is all correct what he says, however there is a paradox there. We all have a favorite character that we feel connected to in the game but in Dragon age where we have soon have met 3 protaganist and all of them are different with other party members and story.
Let me give you an example: I felt more connected to the Warden in Dragon age origins, and all the decisions that i made there had an impact on my emotional response as well. But when i played Dragon age 2 i felt pretty much disconnected to Hawke and i really didnt care much of the desisions that i made there nor did they affect me.
Im a little bit worried that i will feel the same way about the Inquisiter. but never mind.
Freddie prinze jr is awsome as voice actor and he did a very good job with vega.

I thought James Vega was, while not terribly bad, the most superfluous and unnecessary character in the Mass Effect trilogy but Freddie Prince Junior did a good job with him so I'm surprised but also looking forward to Iron Bull.
That's quite a feat, when compared to the rule-of-cool menagerie that went on with ME2. I'd sooner give Thane or Jacob that award.

Just watched the video on the Bioware site of Freddie Prinze Jr.'s interview where he did some VA as Iron Bull and I think he sounds like the Qunari version of Sean Connery lol. Anyone else picking that up? BTW so much more excited for this VO than I was for him as James Vega in ME3.

Excellent. ME3 was inferior to ME2 in most regards, but James Vega was a bright spot. The voice really made the character. Very happy to see Freddie return in this fashion

I think Freddie has found his new career. He is a pretty solid voice actor and I like the fact that the Iron Bull is a bit of a different range for him to deal with.

I'm *meh* on the choice. Will need to see more of IB in action with the voice in game to determine if i like it. But on first blush....nah. I was thinking something deeper, more gravelly....
It's kind of like seeing old vids of quartet singers and the big guy you expect to have the bass voice is the falsetto.

Yes I watched the video. He sounded like FPJ trying to do a deeper voice and a weird accent.
I'm hoping there is sound editing that happens to his voice file.

I think there is because you can slightly hear Iron Bulls voice in the demo with the Dwarf Inquisitor

I know, it was more about how Bioware felt like they needed to make Vega see Femshep as hot, rather than putting her on equal ground with Maleshep and just having her be as crazy as he is. But I didn't want to get into the gender inequalities of gaming, since the forum goes there a lot and it always ends up in flames.
So... it's wrong of him to be attracted to FemShep? He still sees her as an immensely capable soldier, he just also happens to think shes hot as well. Heck, her competence could be a huge turn-on for him, lots of guys find capable women attractive. I hardly see how Vega thinking FemShep is hot kicks her off the equality train, it's not like he shows any signs that he thinks FemShep is less capable than DudeShep. He simply thinks she is hot to boot, something that heterosexual men are wont to do and is hardly a problem as long as it doesn't obfuscate who she is or get in the way of the fact that she is the most capable soldier wandering about, male or female. Besides, Vega hardly thinks FemShep is a piece of meat.
