Wow. I'm really surprised by this - pleasantly so. He was wonderful as Vega. He's into gaming, too, so it is nice to know he gets why we're so passionate about characters we haven't even met yet. I think he is going to rock this part. I hope we see more of him voicing games.
Do you feel in charge Inquisitor? And this gives you power over me?
This is what happens to your body...
...WITHOUT FIBER!!!
Sounded like a bad Sean Connery impersonation...
Iron Bull...seemed very different in DA2...what the heck happened to ya
Man, before ME 3 and when I heard about Freddy voicing James Vega I was like *groan* Frddy I like you but can you really pull this off? After ME 3 though its like 'YES its Freddy Prinze Junior.
And man I am already really digging his portryal of the Iron bull so far if this is just a taste. Its not really the voice, though that is cool too, but it was that constant little grin on his face as he was voicing the lines. It was awesome, and shows he is quite honestly enjoying the crud out of himself and if he puts forth that kind of passion into his work, its bound to show up in the character...just like it did with Vega. Was probably going to make the Iron Bull a fixture of one of my Inquisitors, but now its a definite, and possible romance, given especially we weren't able to romance Vega in ME 3.

Iron Bull wasn't in DA2.
Iron Bull wasn't in DA2.
you met him on the wounded coast, he said he was done with the tal vashoth, and the qunari, and wanted to become a mercenary. He then warns you from the tal vashoth ahead.
You then meet him in the Hanged Man, he said he became an official mercenary with his own company.
you met him on the wounded coast, he is that mercenary who warns you from the tal vashoth ahead.

No, that is Maraas.
Okay.....the voice, as I said before, not diggin' FPJ as the VA.
The 'smile' to me is more of a grimace he had to form to get that funky accent he's trying to pull off.
And the more I look at the IB, the less I really like his character look (I'll probably like his personality...which means for me he;d still be a romance option...RL i judge more on personality than looks). He's big bodied, with this TINY little head, and even worse, a TINY little face (okay with the lost eye and scar). And I don't like the Texas Longhorn horns he has (is he of the bovine species?....must be if I think about his name). I really prefer the Quanri horns from DA2.
(I.e. Quanri in DA2 had horns that looked more like a Pronghorn...keratin (hair) that has grown into horns formed around bony protusion. Now IB looks like his horns are like an Elk, a normal skull with bony growths that form from a circular area from the skull)

I think my mind is in the wrong state at the moment... but I'm 90% sure this dialogue confirms Iron Bull as LI.

And he named himself Maaras or whatever.
Have you read the IB bio? He's not really a tal vashoth as we think about it.
Qunari are known across Thedas as the brutal horned giants who descended from the north to nearly conquer the continent. These ruthless followers of a harsh philosophy enforce their will through the Ben-Hassrath: their spies and secret police. One brilliant agent did it all, hunting spies, rebels, and deserters until the day he finally broke. To preserve a valuable asset, his superiors sent him to Orlais to observe and report… and The Iron Bull was born.
Today, Bull’s Chargers are famous mercenaries, fiercely loyal to the huge Qunari warrior who leads them into battles and taverns with equal enthusiasm. The Iron Bull still sends the Ben-Hassrath reports, but years of living outside Qunari rules have him wondering which identity is really him. Whoever he is, he’s more than happy to join the Inquisition and get paid to kill demons.
So now the big question is...
Not that we could tell too clearly of course but it didn't sound like his voice voicing the Bull.
I really like the voice of the character. Nice job Freddie. I plan on having him on my party a lot so I'm glad. I might even romance him on a 2nd playthrough (if he turns out to be an option) and hear how the Iron Bull reacts in the conversations. The tone of voice used will be interesting.
Awesome
I love how into games he is. The guy knows his stuff (slight girl boner developing for him).
Woooooooooow
Well I LOVED his VA work for Vega in ME3 so I'm really looking forward to this ![]()
It's awesome to see a celeb so passionate about games and VA work
To be fair, he did a damn good job as Vega. I was excited before ME3 and proceeded to forget that it was him.
I thought this was a joke at first, a poster trying to drum up trouble (just because Vega had such a huge like/dislike stance). I'm happy I was wrong lol.
......
My body is ready.
I dont think anyone can prepare for the bull
Going by that video, (not that much to go on, but still) it seems he did a great job.
It's like Back Whirlwind Shaved, lost an eye, grew horns, turned pale, and replaced his dual wielding axes for bigger weapons.

I think you must have read a fan theory somewhere. There's absolutely no indication that these two characters are the same. Unless you're saying all qunari look alike! ![]()
