I'm curious why it matters that he cares about games, specifically.

So long as he cares about the role, that's the most important part, right? Like, if I was completely indifferent about theatre as a medium, but absolutely adored and poured my heart into the character I was playing, that should be all that matters, yeah?

The enthusiasm is nice to see, and I think it plays a part in how much he cares about the role. I love how he described the character and what these kinds of games can mean to players. To me, it was also a surprise, since I mostly remember Freddie Prinze Jr from Tiger Beat and the Scooby Doo movie.  :P

Big doesn't necessarily mean deep voice. I know a dude who's almost 6'4" and his voice isn't particularly deep... and I know a guy who's only an inch or two taller then I am (I'm 5'3") and his voice is crazy deep.

It's pmuch just luck of the draw :P

Tyrion.

Didn't expect Freddie Prinze Jr to be doing Iron Bull, but he sounded pretty good in the video. I liked Vega's voice in ME3. At least Freddie has a good range for voice acting. I thinks he's doing a good job with Iron Bull so far.

Every new detail about DAI makes me want to cancel my preorder. They should of call this game what it really is Dragon Age 2: the MASSive dEFFECT 3 but I'm still remarkably jaded after DA2 / ME3 and I still can't find anything interesting about DAI.

Liked him in ME3, and the way he's playing the Iron Bull sounds really interesting. Also his enthusiasm about video game voice work is really refreshing to hear. All in all, I have to say I'm pretty excited.

If he keeps doing this, I might have to forgive him for the Scoopy Doo movies...

Hm, didn't expect that. Based on what little I've seen of Iron Bull I'd have expected someone like Manu Bennet (okay, maybe it's just because I really want him do some VA work ^^), but Freddie at the very least is highly motivated and enthusiatic about his work, and that's a good thing.

I'll have to actually hear some Iron Bull speaking without seeing Freddie before I can say more.  :)

Well, he's also doing the motion-capturing as far as I know, so I'd count that as a "full" performance, not just VA. But I meant in a game, should have made that clear(er). I want him in a fantasy game almost as much as I wanted Edward James Olmos in ME3.  ^_^

Awesome news I think, I was already intrigued by Iron Bull, now more so, Prinze Jr. did a great job with Vega.

It's weird as his voice doesn't sound as deep as Sten's or the Arishok's yet his character looks bigger than both. Unfortunately the trailer doesn't show much in game animations of the Iron Bull's face while speaking. That would go a long way to show us how the voice fits the character.
