I think the highest spec requirement game would be GTA 5 , to bad they dont want to release it for PC...would be easy to compare if u can run GTA5 on medium then u can run anything :D

GTA 5 is confirmed to be released on PC, along with PS4 and XONE by the end of this year.

I have a question for everyone:

Is my laptop good enough to play Inquisition?

It's coming up on 3 years old..

I have a Nvidia GTX 560M 1.5GB
An i7 2670QM
4GBs of RAM

Is this enough?

It plays Crysis 2 on the highest setting with good FPS... I think it's the Extreme setting.
It plays Skyrim on Ultra, on good days lol
It plays Witcher 2 on the highest setting (without ubersampling checked)

It doesn't really matter if I can play it on the maximum setting, and I know that the requirements haven't been released yet.
I would only like to know what your opinion is: Is this enough to play it on low or medium? To play it at all?

Hmmmm, I want to say yes. The trick here is that the Frostbite 3 Engine is being used (none of the games you listed are on it). I think it absolutely could run it, but Battlefield 4 (also on the Frostbite 3 engine and a common comparison for suggested specs among the forums) suggests 3GB dedicated graphics as well as one of the Newer Nvidia GTX graphics card. Of course, that's for the recommended-high settings. I think with normal settings you could play the game. You'd just have to watch out for overheating as you don't want to destroy your computer.

There's no saying for sure until the specs are released though. While both DA:I and Battlefield 4 are on the Frostbite 3 engine, there's no saying if they'll weigh the same graphically.

I'm buying on PS4 so no need to post mine, but this is going to get popular fast. I think Bioware should sticky this.

Well that's nice Hardline requires Windows 7 64-bit.....that's all it says for requirements for PC....I've got that so let's see.....downloading.

Ah, and I looked at the bottom of my laptop, this is what I have: toshiba qosmio x500-s1811

If he's running a 32-bit Windows, upgrading to 8GB isn't going to help much really. But ofcourse PC-gamers still running a 32 OS and/or using Windows XP are extinct, aren't they?
And knowing Battlefield 4 doesn't work with anything lower than Windows Vista the question of which OS doesn't really matter. I don't think Bioware's still going to support 'good old XP' (I hope).

Oh sorry I should've elaborated, I hate a 64bit system, but I think it's dying. I just want to be able to play Inquisition, even if it has to be on low.

Edit: I just tried out the Hardline beta, I was able to play it on High and Ultra. What does this mean

Means you should be fine I think.
I just tried and had no problem either......other than forgetting to plug in the cooling pad and overheating.....and dying a lot. That was fun.....but one shot death is no fun.....specially when you hit them like 10 times and they don't die.....plus I didn't know the controls. *sigh* run for cover? How?

It would be nice if a Bioware tech representative could give a bit of feedback on ideal PC requirements.  I'm ready to spend a good chunk of change on a custom build but wish to ensure I spec it properly to support high quality graphics without lagging issues.

I'm fairly certain they don't know yet - which is why we haven't had an official announcement.  The most we've heard is to test our computer against Battlefield 4, but Bioware's still making tweaks to the game which could affect those numbers either way.  At least, that's what I'm taking away from everything that's been announced.

We probably won't hear for a few months, still, on any exact numbers.

And yeah, ur probably right, I think at one point they said that exact same thing. Also, it's apparently still in "Alpha" -because all games looks that good in alpha

Probably incomplete, since it should work on Vista as well, because of the DX10-11 requirement.

I have Vista (32-bit version) and I could not install th Battlefield 4 beta since it requires a 64-bit system. Furthermore, it really should be Windows 7 or 8. At least that's what I got from the B4 website. So, no idea if the game woud run on Vista at all but probably not.

Crap :( .

Okay, here is my problem: I still use an old gaming laptop. It's a Toshiba Satego X200 with Core 2 Duo, 2 GB RAM and a GeForce 8700M GT graphic card (512 MB). My system is, as stated above, Windows Vista (32 bit).

So, my question is, if it would be worth it to upgrade the laptop? I thought about buying Windows 7 (64 bit) and 8 GB RAM. Wich would still be cheaper than investing in a new (gaming) laptop - for which I don't have the money right now. What do you think? I would be grateful for some advice.

Upgrading the RAM and HDD is the only thing you can do for a laptop, everything else is glued to it's motherboard. Whether you upgrade or not, I think your laptop will probably be well under the minimum required specs(the GPU and CPU might be too old). I suggest you wait until the PC requirements are released and then decide on what to do.

If you're going to buy something new, I suggest just getting a desktop. Laptops can never come close to their desktop counterparts, their power will always be only 1/3rd of the equivalent desktop hardware. You can buy a decent desktop for 600$(decent by my standards).

Thank you :) . I used to have a desktop, but I am more comfortable with a laptop. I know that it sucks when it comes to upgrades, but until now I had almost no problems with games (The Witcher 2 was the only game that wasn't running entirely smoothly). On the other hand, the lower price for a desktop is  a good argument.

Yeah, I think it's best to wait for the system requirements.

I think the game will run on your laptop after an upgrade, though I would upgrade to windows 8 64 bit, not 7. But you're probably looking at lowish settings around 720p resolution.

If you've got $500 somewhere (look inside your couch!) That would buy you a nice little desktop for gaming that will net you decent performance in this game (And others!). Remember that game son PC are very cheap (Steam sale ongoing, in case you didn't know!), and over the lifetime of that desktop, you'll easily save a LOT of money in games.

I imagine you can but essentially the best guestimate that I've seen is to find out if you computer can handle Battlefield 4 since it uses the same engine.

Narosian's idea to download the Battlefield Hardline beta is a good idea since it uses the same engine as well.

Hello. I was wondering if my laptop could play this as well? I have both KOTOR's, DAO UE, and can run TOR pretty good, with a few lag spikes now and then.

Here's my current set up

Windows 7 Home Premimum

64 Bit

Intel Core i3-330M

RAM 6GB

CPU= 2.20Ghz

Out of curiosity, I downloaded the battlefield hardline beta, and played it well at medium/high settings (oddly enough I got a severe lag on american servers, but in european servers I got a smooth +50 FPS. Funny thing is, I'm from south america lol). But even in the servers with low FPS, I didn't have any sttutering like the one I get in Watch_dogs.

Now I can rest assured, with my rig maybe I could play this with medium settings, and I'm happy with that.

My Rig:

Graphics card: Evga GTX 750 Ti 2GB
CPU: Intel Core i7 930 (2.80 GHz)
Motherboard: Asus P6X58D-E
RAM: 12 GB DDR3
Monitor: Generic Samsung SyncMaster 2233BW
Operating system: Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bits
Sound card: Onboard sound

That idea of testing the machines with the battlefield hardline beta is good.

No. I was referring to Rockstar's notorious work on PC version of GTA 4.

To clarify, what I meant was don't assume running GTA 5 on pc will be trivial because Rockstar did a horrendous job converting GTA 4 for PC before and personally I don't expect them to do any better this time. I don't know why you thought what I said had anything to do with DA:I.
