The warden can become the de facto ruler of Ferelden in one of the epilogues. (chancellor boon + unhardened Alistair as King)

I believe no matter what, the King/Queen Cousland is one of the most powerful people in Ferelden just below the king or queen. And just remember if Anora doesn't play nice and let's you get some she can always meet our favorite Antivan elf

That may not be necessary, the Awakening Epilogue heavily implies that Anora and the Male Warden grow to have real feelings for each other. Which likely means that the two of them are more cooperative when administering and ruling Ferelden.

 

In any case, technically the Warden King/Queen is below the actual King/Queen. But they'd have plenty of reputation, political power, influence and connections to close the gap. Furthermore, the Origins epilogue stated that Ferelden would enter a golden age if Anora and her Prince/King-consort didn't end up vying for power.

 

Based on the Awakening Epilogue, that may not be a problem.

If a female Cousland marries Alistair either Hardened or UnHardened I see it mostly being Cailan/Anora again she is the one running things granted not as much if Alistair is Hardened but who knows.

 

Since both Anora and Alistair are returning I want to know how the Prince-Consort/King??? and Queen of Ferelden just magically disappeared.
