I hope we get to choose between accents.
I would love to play an Orleasian.
We get british and american. That's it.

Oh.
That's disappointing, though not surprising.
You can always play the French version of the game and pretend your Orlesian.

Dr. Baltar has a point.
Why not an Orlesian? It'd be a nice change.
Because conventional wisdom says that the average gamer doesn't want their player character to have a foreign accent.
Then again, they do offer a choice between AE and BE accents in DA:I, so maybe next time.
I am guessing Ferelden. It seems like it's the Dev team's favorite little country (Andastre, the Warden, and Hawke). I am beginning to wonder if I will ever see Tevinter.
So my question is, where the hell is the american accented human supposed to be from?

Maybe the free marches.

I think so far only Dwarves have the yank accent. Humnas have either French or Brit accents.
I've said it before I'll say it again...anything but Orlesian. I'd play a sapient Dust Town nug before an Orlesian.
Unless I was a twirling mustachioed bastard mage... otherwise yes.
chasind. i want to be chasind

Of course we'll see Tevinter in the future! With a Fereldan protagonist, that is ![]()

Qunari also speak with American accents. And humans also speak with Spanish accents, at least the ones from Antiva..
But come DAI, we'll be able to select from either American or British accents for any inquisitor, including humans. So the question is; where does a human inquisitor with an American accent come from?

Anderfels? Somehow I suspect I'm wrong, but we haven't actually met anyone from there. Anders doesn't count because for all intents and purposes he's Fereldan.

Mistress Woolsey.
I personally wouldn't want an Orlesian Inquisitor myself, but I do find it odd they give a choice at American accent before that. American accents seem pretty, or actually very rare, outside of the Dwarves of course.

Mistress Woolsey.
This is actually a common misconception. She never explicitly says where she's from. The Warden-Commander asks if she's come from Weisshaupt to which she answers, 'No'. Only thing in dialogue that links her to the Anderfels is that her orders came from the First Warden.
Well, im pretty sure mexico and canada take over the usa in 2037, so the inquisitor will be from Mexicanada.... have both a candian accent and a mexican one.
(got it from American dad, look it up)

So an anti-Fallout narrative, then?
