I'm less impressed than I was before.
Most of my hopes for this game being great have been diminished and I'm now holding out for it to be a fun, but stupid, fantasy adventure that's not DA2's level of terrible.

Everything in this game looks fantastic!!!
The only step backward, in my opinion, is the health bar: i really much preferred the one we saw last year.

The game looks beautiful and the story intriguing. Not feeling the love for the characters so far, and a tad worried that the game will be too busy a la Skyrim (too much content for my liking). Having said that I will be buying a PS4 and the game!

World looks big now. Great to finally be in Redcliffe again! Only too bad it doesn't look that much like the Origins setting. Curious if the bigger world is filled with more stuff to do.

Combat is still too fast and flashy. Armors and weapons seem to be a bit closer to normal size.

Super hyped for this game, I have always loved what Dragon Age brings to the rpg table so I am pretty biased from the start, but from what E3 has shown any doubts I had are slowly beginning to fade. I love the look of the combat, it still has the flash from DA2 and it looks like they are trying to bring back the tactics of Origins so the combat is looking exactly where I hoped it would be.
The characters and story are really what makes Dragon Age for me, the designs for Sera, Iron Bull and Vivienne have really blown me away and alongside Morrigan and Varric will no doubt become my favorite characters of DA. While I know very little of what the story holds (mostly because I am intentionally trying to spoil as little as possible) the idea of bringing back the inquisition alone really has me interested since its the first time its happened within the lore since the first blight so I see tons of potential with the story for going in good and evil directions with the characters.
All in all I love what I have seen and I am literally counting the days until release, been dying for a rpg like this for ages now.

The graphics is pretty below average for today's AAA gaming standard, but graphic isn't everything. I would rather for them to put those efforts into making the game better.
The gameplay is pretty laggy, I'm not sure if it's because of framerates or the way the game is being transmitted.
I'm interested in the story and characters, and this is one of the games I'm looking forward to so hopefully I won't be disappointed.

the visuals and game mechanics look decent but everything else is rubbing me the wrong way. the details about the story and characters feels hollow, shallow, and annoying. It has too much Dragon Age 2 in it and i would of prefered not using any returning characters from DAO or DA2.

I need to get my hands on it. I haven't seen enough of the game to get a clear opinion on this.

My opinion hasn't really changed much. I'm perhaps more negative about the combat animations than I'd like to be, but hey - they've looked worse.
I do not want to be DA:O-bitter about DA:I. I've kissed "The Spiritual Successor to BG" goodbye. I deeply resent the DA2-version of the DA universe and could write a long vitriolic rant about it. But it's water under the bridge. The DA of DA:O is dead. The question is if DA:I is a good and interesting game in itself. And I'm pretty sure it will be. Quite confident.
There are three concerns, I think. Will there be too much content? A deep crafting system, a Keep, a strategic 'Tycoon'-inqusition game, an open-world exploration game. I know I'm mainly interested in the role-playing aspect of a Bioware game. I like Tycoon games though. And I like open-world and crafting in ES-games. But that is entirely because of their role-play significance in ES. They are features that leave you more freedom and thus more satisfying role-play. I'm not interested in fine-combing geographical areas and lift every stone and look into every hole. In fact I hate that. And I specifically DON'T do that at all, in ES-games. I love the sense of journeying, and I go about my business. That's what I do. And ES-games are wonderful, for freeing you from that old, tiresome rpg/adventure paradigm. There's no point in ES, because it will just overload you with meaningless-seeming content and ruin the role-play experience.
But will we feel too fragmented, playing DA:I? It'll be okay. It's just a matter of relaxing and patiently dig into the different mechanisms. Don't look to rush the story. Let it come to you.
The second concern is the mood/culture/atmosphere of the game. I would have liked something unique, grounded and 'serious'. Not exactly like The Witcher 2, Elder-Scrolls or Call of Duty, but possessing the same kind of qualities. Just like DA:O. Instead it seems we're still getting this ultra-generic, Japanese/Cartoon inspired Fantasy culture that is so fashionable with 14 years olds. Still on the disastrous DA2 tracks. But - thankfully - not entirely! The efforts of making the game graphically better have undermined its infantile identity. So it might not be so bad, after all. Lots and lots of scenes from the game look really, really good. So it's just some of the combat animations and some of the armor & weapon designs. I think it'll be ok. I don't think one will think about this or be bothered during playing, at all.
The third concern is the role-play. Obviously, dialogue-wheel and voiced PC is the deal. And that is a pretty flawed and fragile framework to do role-play on. Question is if we're not really talking more about a voiced protag in a cinematic adventure game, than a voiced PC in a role-playing game? But Bioware must have been made extremely aware of this during the forums' DA2 debrief, and they have also hinted at changes which would leave more room for the imagination, intent and player agency. I have forgotten the exact details now, but I wouldn't even be here today, if I didn't believe it would be possible to wring something out of DA:I. I think it'll be okay enough. Role-playing in a CRPG is always a compromise of mind-adjusting, to what the game leaves open for you.
Basically, though it's not the DA I would have wanted, the different thing, that it is going to be, has the makings of a Bioware super-classic. The main thing threatening it, is the stigma from DA2, the DA name itself and all the associated complications. The game on its own, is probably going to be fantastic. In its own right. Which is not necessarily exactly what some of us would have wanted. We'll just have to rise above that and disentangle us from old gripes.

sums up most of the way I feel.
Still not pre-ordered it.
I want to like it I really do, but after DAII I am firmly on the fence of caution, which hurts more than it should lol.
I just wanted to carry on my Warden's and Morrigan's Story from DA:O ![]()
Such a lost oppurtunity there in my humble opinion.
If they release the Keep it may prod some parts not yet reached and a Demo would probably seal it one way or the other.

I've never been disappointed by a bioware game and im sure this one will exceed my expectations. MY BODY IS READY.
I feel exactly the same.
Nice to see someone else off the (ridiculous, imo) ME3 and DA2 hate bandwagon!
I do hope the horse mount will look a little better (reminds me of Epona), and people in Thedas will master the art of blinking realistically. ![]()

Not impressed to be honest, what I didn't see showed me more than I needed to know, that the Game is not one that I will be getting on release, I might get it latter on but that depends on what the game is like.
E3 had the same Bioware marketing as before with them refusing to show the RPG systems of a RPG game and it being a fast passed action game. Bioware had a chance to come out at E3 and show us a great RPG, to wow us with the systems they have in the game and to show how they were making a game with the feedback they received.
What we got was the bare minimum of game play with no details of RPG systems and a priority on visuals over everything else. I half expected David Silverman to come on the interviews and mention the awesome button because there was almost no difference to the DA2 shows.

After DA2 I was a little leery... But the new graphics engine looks incredible (dpn't get why some people keep saying that the graphics are "sub-par".
And it sure does seem as if Bioware is trying to redeem themselves with Inquisition. I sense a lot of love and effort in this game.
I just re-installed DA:0 on my new computer. I haven't played it for a long time now, just long enough for the game to "wow" me all over again.
My only real concern is that it appears that modding the game will be difficult at best, or impossible at worst. The reason why I loved DA:O so much, and could enjoy DA:2 was that I could mod the game the way I wanted to play. I changed armors, cut scenes, mechanics, etc., which allowed me to play the game the way I wanted to play. As much as I appreciate Bioware's skill at making great games, still, they cannot possibly make a game that everyone connects with. Modding allowed me to make a great game superb... and a mediocre one enjoyable.
So, I will pre-order. And then, rant and cry and kick my feet in the air when it doesn't do everything that I want it to do.
But yeah; I am excited for the game and really hope it does well.

I admit I'm less interested. I was actually quite interested in the game before but now the combat in general seems to be a little too flashy. I liked it better when it looked more... sober.

I was already all in before E3. I know this is a game I'm going to buy and enjoy. That said I don't think it'll be the best RPG Bioware has ever made. I love the DA setting and lore enough that so long as the story isn't god awful I'll be satisfied.
There a few issues I worry about of course. The actual graphics on the PS4, lack of companions while mounted, shoe-horned multi-player, misrepresentation of how much freedom you actually have, a lack of cities, and a few other things. Even if they fail on all of these though, I'll still likely enjoy it. I'm one of the few that still really like DA2. I also get that some people are wary, but that's what twitch and youtube are for.
