Just used my finished career in a new game for Mass Effect, does this disable the career for mass effect 2

I just realised that it dosen't set a NEW career starting a career with a finished save game and uses the same save files so does this mean I can't use it for mass effect 2, I just finished almost all the side quests on the career and don't want to reset and spend all next weekend starting again instead of playing mass effect 2

Pretty sure you'll be fine, otherwise there'd be pretty much no way to import a lvl 60 Shepard

Yep - would make lvl 60's a problem, also one of the team said in the xfire thing that you could also get extra import bonuses by having maxed out BOTH paragon and renegade, which I think is pretty hard to do in a single play through.

Yep, won't be a problem. Each time you finish the game (including in new game plus) it creates a new importable save. So in ME2 on the import screen, you'll see (as an example):
Lvl 53 Shep (your first playthrough)
Lvl 60 Shep (your second playthrough)
and you can select either.
Lvl 53 Shep (your first playthrough)
Lvl 60 Shep (your second playthrough)
and you can select either.

Profile end game saves are different from regular saves. Your safe as long as you beat the game with a character.
