This thread needs a moon door.

To be fair he did have monotone moments, and so did Jennifer hale.

Meer Broshep is so much better then femshep hope he plays a big part in DAI

neither is better, they are just good at different things. Btw, your post does sound a little defensive, and could be read the wrong way. Let's not have the femshep vs mshepard debate in the DAI forums...please... :(

I hope mere does some creature voices.

I personally can't wait to hear his voice in DA:I. I loved him as Commander Shepard, and he's a very skilled voice actor.

I know. I loved playing male Shep and it was all because of him. He was a badass renegade. So glad he's in DA:I. No matter if it's a major or minor character, I can't wait to hear him again.

Tbh I've heard a LOT of Mark Meer to the point where I can easily pick him out of a voice, insofar as the Vorcha. But I don't hate his voice, I just think it really belongs to Shepard in my opinion.

I feel like he could voice dorian, surprisingly enough, with his range he could pull it offXD

I would note that Mark Meer can do a lot of different voices. Besides Commander Shepard, Blasto and the vorcha, he voiced all of the Disciples in Awakening, roughly a third of all male elves in DAO and DA2, a number of werewolves and demons in both games (including Hybris) and Tug from Leliana's Song.

His presence in DAI is no shocker, and his involvement shouldn't be any indication of what kind of character he's playing.

Well said! He's quite the talent. I was expecting him in DAI in some capacity so it's not shocking at all.

I dont care who he is, i just hope its a large role.

He is so incredibly tragically underrated as a Voice Actor.

Another monotone character here we come...  /sigh

Shepard is the only character he plays that I can't keep myself interested in, but he plays such a wide variety of characters that it isn't fair at all to judge him so harshly. If Shepard was his only voice acting role in BioWare's games, then I'd not care about this at all. But all in all, Meer does great character actor roles within the series.

Mark Meer nailed the professional and experienced career soldier. If you prefer Hale's more dramatic interpretation of the character, that's your business. But don't pull down another voice actor's performance because you personally don't like it. The guy's got incredible range. A lot more than many other equally skilled voice actors, certainly.

I hope it's just minor characters he voices like in previous DA's but if he's a companion or a major character's VO it would be nice if he actually put some effort into the role, i thought Meer was terrible as maleshep since he sounded like he was just phoning it in most of the time especially in ME1, it was weird considering he's not a bad actor.

Meer's performance as Shepard was spot on. So much so that his take on the character often reminded me of Staff NCOs and Mustangs (officers that are prior enlisted) that I knew while I was in the Marines.

Honestly I don't get what the big deal here is Meer isn't the only VA to be in both DA and ME, Kimberly Brooks, Simon Templeman, Claudia Black, and Freddy Prinze, Jr. they have done voices in both series as well.

He's talented but he's nowhere near Frank Welker, Peter Cullen, but then again they are legends. He's still got a long way to go be in the same league as David Kaye, and Scott McNeil

He's probably doing a bunch of NPCs ranging from small to major. I liked Mark as Shepard I just hope he the American voice for the male Inquisitor, let an actual American do it.

Male Shepard(ME and ME2 are the only roles I didn't enjoy of his, other then that he's an amazing va. Also people, stop trying to incite a femshep vs maleshep war, both are good(Meer in ME3 and Hale in ME where there best) Both are extremely good VA and Meers range is outstanding.
