Male Shepard(ME and ME2 are the only roles I didn't enjoy of his, other then that he's an amazing va. Also people, stop trying to incite a femshep vs maleshep war, both are good(Meer in ME3 and Hale in ME where there best) Both are extremely good VA and Meers range is outstanding.

Funny coming from you who post a sera pic drinking male tears trying to start a fight with men.

Um no, it was a joke picture that was posted in a snarky response to a friend who was also joking with me. Nice try though on assuming.

He also been known to bust out a Bizarro now and then. :P

The man has some serious connections, when it comes to costumes. Every time I see one of his new cosplays, it puts me and my friends to shame. xD

What if he voices Solas?

Nooo. I might...actually be tempted to romance Solas...

I wouldn't romance Solas even if someone pay me. He has a deep, sexy voice, so maybe he should voice Blackwall.

XD Ice cold.

But yeah him voicing Blackwall would work too.

If he's a companion, it will probably be Solas(which would explain why we have not heard him speak at all despite being revealed ages ago) or Blackwall.

Have you all seen any of Mark Meer's other projects? He seems like a super nice guy, and I dig his sense of humor (it's a little sardonic):

I really hope its a scene with Jennifer Hale. They're on a sheep farm. You walk by and are like "hey wanna help?"

Then they're both like "Nah, we're only a couple o' shepherds!"

That made me laugh way more than it should have. xD

He's talented but he's nowhere near Frank Welker, Peter Cullen, but then again they are legends. He's still got a long way to go be in the same league as David Kaye, and Scott McNeil

I didn't claim otherwise. I was rebutting the notion that Meer's voice acting is bland and monotone, which it most certainly isn't.

People also didn't suggest that Meer was the only voice actor from Mass Effect to lend their voice to Dragon Age. Meer voiced the protagonist of the former, so people are naturally curious/excited to hear what he's doing for Inquisition. People would also be excited for Kimberly Brooks (I would geek out at that. I really enjoyed hearing her voice in Origins), Ali Hillis, Jennifer Hale, Keith David and any number of other voice actors, just as people were excited to hear that Freddie Prinze Jr. will be voicing the Bull.

Ugh. Love me a bit of Meer but not gonna lie, getting tired of hearing him and Hale in every Bioware game. It's not like their voices are hard to pick out.

I know companies like to stick with the tried and tested formula and hire those they have worked with before and trust. But I'd like it if they experimented a bit more when it comes to casting the VAs.

You heard Meer in Jethann in DA2? Because I only could hear it once someone told me he was doing the VA.

Remindes me of the recurring actors in the old Star Trek series. Jeffrey Combs was the king of that:

Very talented voice actor, not surprised to see Bioware bring him back. He lives in the same city as the studio aswell ^^

My only point was why was people acting surprised that Meer was doing voice work in DA:I because he had already done work in the previous DA games,

Prinze was a surprise because I don't think anyone was thinking he would be doing the voice of The Iron Bull.

On the flip side if you don't keep hiring your tried and true cast then you run the risk of them being stolen by another studio while you are giving other VA's a chance. Best to keep them coming back even if it is not always for a major role.

While I did find his voice a bit... Saltless in ME and ME2, I think he did an amazing job in ME3. Try romancing different people and you can tell how he treated different LIs differently. He was all commander-y and protective with Liara, but he went playful and soft with Kaidan (the "Didn't have the heart," always gets me). And let's not forget how we went full on flirty with Traynor only to get vajay-blocked.

I really hope he voices an LI this time.

I understand what you meant...but interesting choice of words.   Anyhow, considering Meer's IMDB has him listed working with BIoWare as far back as Baldur's Gate, I'm not too surprised that he's doing some VA work for Inquisition.

he was in Dragon age origins awakening he played all the  male talking darkspawn

He was also a dwarf outside Orzammer

Speaking of Scott McNeil has he ever been in a Bioware game? He's based in Vancouver like a number of BW voice actors (Raphael Sbarge, Michael Hogan)
