I feel like skepticism in this matter is appropriate given the company's rep, but I am still hopeful that what this guy says is genuine and that they do start doing what needs to be done to make good games. They own too many good franchises and development studios and it would be a real shame if EA continued to squander them.

I just know that I really want to be excited about the next Mass Effect, before and after its release.

Don't be so negative! I trust EA's new CEO. He has an honest face:

Grow a moustache and goatee on him and you more or less have Little Finger from Game of Thrones and I would not trust that dude to ****** on me if I were on fire.

:) maybe this will be EA redeeming point and turn around :D

Dear sweet Lady Abstract I love your optimism as much as your videos but I would subscribe a level of caution. This is EA we're talking about and conventional laws of best intentions do not apply. But hey,.. here's hoping.

Will EA change?  Some, I'm sure - because their products suck.  I'd like to see some good changes in EA.  Its a great idea to have more testing and quality control as you make a game.  Maybe even a little interaction with fans, etc.

But, even if EA was really "changed", (Assumption) would that have changed ME3 and the path that the writers took to end what could have been the best series of all time?  The problem is obviously a combination of EA time and budget constraints on Bioware - but some of the issue firmly points at Bioware as the culprit.

I just hope this means that they've come around to the idea that:

More Reasonable Development Time Quality Product$

Because that totally works for me.
