Auren Lavellan is a gifted young hunter from the Ilan Clan. His aloof disposition has earned him few friends, though he isn’t necessarily disliked. The one person he devotes himself utterly to is his younger sister Laurelin, or “Laura,” and it’s well known that if you pick on or harass Laurelin Lavellan, you’ll have her fierce older brother to deal with. This isn’t all that surprising since their parents are both dead, and he considers it his responsibility to take care of her in their place (perhaps much to her annoyance at times).

He believes wholeheartedly in the tenets of Dalish philosophy and religion and adheres (to the best of his abilities) to Vir Tanadhal; not surprisingly, he is particularly devoted to Andruil. He is a loner and will read occasionally, but he’s no scholar. Trying to actually discuss religion and philosophy with him will end with him snorting in disgust and confusion and getting up and walking away (possibly while flinging a derogatory elvish term over his shoulder).

When he was 21, an encounter with human hunters (bandits, really) resulted in the death of his lover, Kae. Like many Dalish, he was raised to be wary of humans, but after Kae’s death he grew to truly hate them.

He cares nothing for human politics, who should rule what city, or how the shem treat their mages. It’s none of his concern (so he says).

Okay, let me know if I added the wrong stuff or left anything out.

Lorien, I made up the clan name, let me know if you had something else in mind; I will change it to whatever you want (truly, just made it up). I didn't add too many details about Laurelin for obvious reasons.

I'm assuming they had to leave their clan; otherwise, why would they be on this adventure?

Oh and he has narcolepsy. So if a week goes by and I forget to post it's because he passed out :P

Not at all, even if we do get a name for the Lavellan's clan in Inquisition, this is set in an alternate universe anyway. Not to mention I like Illan,Now I just need to work on some details about Laurelin's profile,so I'll post mine soon.

Cool :D Let me know if there's anything else you don't like, that you don't think will gel with your character.

Cool!

Before you invest too much time and energy into creating a clan backstory for your characters (plural, since this goes for Laurelin, too), you have a choice to make. You may belong to the clan that's involved in the events of "The Dalish Curse" which would open up one set of RP options (you would know every last detail of the events that sparked the conflict between the humans of Vintiver and the local Dalish clan), or you can be outcasts *or* emissaries from a different clan, which opens up a different set of RP options. Completely up to you.

Hmm. I will leave this one up to Lorien since how the clan relates to her character is more crucial for her character than mine.

Great looking character!  :D

Thanks :D I love the Dragon's Dogma CC. It's so amazing. I don't have a hope and a prayer that DAI will let me create a character who looks like this.

He's fated to fall in love with a human, so I wouldn't worry too much :P

Think of him as classic tsundere. Cause I pretty much adore writing tsundere guys.

@Chachi, I was worried about that, to be honest, but it introduces a lot of good roleplaying opportunities for everyone involved. This game is composed of Cullen-thread regulars - a group which plays very well together despite the fact that is members span the broad and often violent spectrum of political ideologies. If adamant pro-templar players and passionate pro-mage players can be friends, I have no reason to think this will end otherwise. And, as Artemis says, there's also the potential for character development.

I like to think of my character as the bridge between the Dalish and the Humans, as she doesn't really like either.  :P

I'm not pro-mage, pro-templar, pro-elf, or pro-human... lol I'm just writing a character.

I freaking love the tsundere character, especially once you throw love into the mix. Can't wait to see how he progresses.

Sure does!
