How does everyone think that Morrigan is going to function in relation to the Inquisition?

I keep thinking that she is going to serve as an advisor of sorts, but if that were the case, you would think that Bioware would come out and just say that she is an advisor like Cullen, Scribbles, and Leliana.

I'm really hoping that she will at least take up residence at the Keep. It would be kind of annoying if, everytime we wanted to converse with her character, we have to trek half way across Thedas to Orlais.

I believe she is an important figure in the Inquisition and will be at the Skyhold..at least at some point in the game. I really want to hear her interactions with the Inquisition members. :)

Milf!

I really like the way the artist rendered Morrigan in that picture. The OGB? Not so much. He looks like Donald Trump with black hair.

Good question here. Why does Morrigan leave the OGB by himself? We see her in Witch Hunt but not the baby, so he's by himself and we see here in the DAI trailers without the baby again. Does she just not like to bring him or is channeling her inner Flemeth at parenting? At least have a babysitter.

i do think she has some one watching him, and that she tries to be with him when she can, but she is flemmeth's daughter and the kid may have to survive like gohan in dbz to learn true magic; or morrigan has allies, scary, sexy allies

Advisor sounds about right. I'm really hoping it at least, i've missed her unique charm far too much for her to be just an npc in the royal court ;)  Would like to hear about the fate of my dale elf warden after they stepped through the eluvian together too but that is asking a bit much, i think :(

I'm sure that the Warden will at least be mentioned. With all of the resources that Bioware is devoting towards the creation of the Keep, it wouldn't make sense for them to completely ignore such a major decision.

Yes; no mention is made of her childcare arrangements in Witch Hunt but that doesn't mean there aren't any - I would assume Morrigan is not stupid in this regard.

My assumption at this point regarding DAI is that until I hear otherwise, my Warden is back at the ranch raising the child ;)

I don't think she'll associate herself with the Inquisition. While I think she will be very important to the bigger plot, the interactions with her will likely be limited and highly situational. I can't see her taking up residence at the Keep.

It's Alistair's in my canon. If I ever see him, he'll need to be a dopey looking blonde kid with a funny haircut.

I won't be surprised if Morrigan functions as some sort of rivalry or adversary. In fact, I wouldn't be shocked if she has a big role to play in the creation of the Breach. But I won't speculate any further on that. All I can guess is that she'll be a foil to Vivi and the Inquisition as a whole, maybe by whispering poison into Celene's ear.

I just don't get the feeling that she'll be on our side at all.

She'll likely be on no one's side but her own, and whether or not she becomes an adversary will depend on whether how the Inquisition does things is compatible with her plans or not..

Yeah, I don't think Bioware is going to force us to side with or against Morrigan. Our relationship with her will likely depend on the stance we take on various issues, e.g.

  • Is your Inquisitor pro-mage or pro-templar? If it's the latter, you will probably be at odds with Morrigan.
  • Are you intensly pro-Chantry? That will not endear you to her.
  • etc....

In the past, Bioware has usually let us decide whether or not we want to go along with Morrigan's plans or oppose them. Don't see any reason why now, at the turning point, they would suddenly say, "Nope, she's a villain and you gottta kill her."

It makes you wonder if you oppose her, and the warden follows her inside the elluvian, you would need to fight him on a boss battle of sorts.

That is a great Idea!

But it came up in a related Thread and the Discussion lead, to say it carefully, nowhere.

Interested to know just how closely morrigan is tied to Celene's agenda or is she just using her out of convenience to facilitate her own agenda.

I may be wrong, but I get the feeling that Morrigan is just using Celene to further her own ends (as she does with most people).

Celene is progressive, interested in magic, and seems more cultured than her Orlesian counterparts, though, so perhaps that has endeared her to Morrigan.

Does Morrigan make an appearance in The Masked Empire novel, or had she not insinuated herself in Celene's court yet? I still need to pick that book up.

I hope Morrigan is just playing everybody including Celen like House/Yes Man did in FO:NV. And I hope I, and by extent the Inquisition, can side with her.

I think she didn't play an romanced warden. otherwise she wouldn't allow him to follow her. At she was honest with one person. At any rate, I hope I can side with her too, if her plan is not too outrageous, that is.

Why is Morrigan with Cullen? There is a scene where Cullen has his lion helm on and there is Morrigan .... which I was able to show the pix.

Brother Genetivi is probably the leading scholar in Thedosian lore. He specifically says that the Andrastian traditions and rites of the cultists predate the Orlesian Chantry. The Orlesian Chant only became orthodox (out of dozens of cults of the time) because the first Inquisition had it's back.

Genitivi doesn't know about the dragon Andraste, he stays at the entrance...

The reason why Morrigan is with Cullen in that scene from the trailer is that she has left the Warden (if romanced) and her and Cullen are now lovers.

From my memory of masked empire she wasn't present. Though she just not be mentioned.
