For me, the DR is the best decision you could make because you get to sleep with the beautiful black haired sorceress, you get to spawn your child of an Old God, get to become a glorified hero and live to get the glory and become the first Grey Warden ever to defeat the Archdemon and live.

Oh, yeah definitely Keira Knightley. Just have her dye her hair black and voila! Morrigan!

I have a thing for Eva Green (people usually either love her or hate her). I think she makes a passable Morrigan:

Fair enough. I take back what I said :P

Morrigan's agenda usually meshes with mine (I generally play pro-Tevinter, pro-mage, anti-Chantry magic users), so the Dark Ritual didn't really present a dilemma of any sort.

I will concede that at the end of the day, she is looking out for herself and her own agenda. Then again, aren't most of the npcs? If you cross the Chantry, Leliana will turn on you in the blink of an eye. Bioware has said that almost all of the companions in Inquisition can be alienated and desert you, so that's not something unique to Morrigan.

Very true but what always made me end up wanting to kill her was her betrayal was planned from the beginning. She always knew that if she wasn't going to get what she wanted she was going to abandon you to die. That is an impressive amount of deceit and being really cruel.

Leliana's betrayal was far less troubling because it was one based purely on emotion, she never planned to betray you she would fight and die at your side any day of the week. However actively defiling the most holy relic of her faith for no other reason than because... yeah that was a jerk move.

Don't get me wrong I also this Alistair is a traitor too. Unlike Morrigan he betrayed not just my character by wanting to leave but he was violating the oath he took and he was betraying Duncan's memory. His betrayal was one of pure childishness and irresponsibility. That's why he's a corpse in the ground right now.

My main PC is a good man, he only thinks about helping those that can't help themselves and would gladly die if it meant saving the world... but if a character claims to be on my side and then turns on me out of spite or for some childish reason I will crush them under my heel and remove their traitor from the world! :D

Or her. Just got get that manipulative and mysterious feel down and they could both be good Morrigans.

Can't quote on mobile, but kc prototype is right. Old god baby made the most sense in the plot, the chance to preserve a pre taint old god is too important to pass up and you get to live.

Ispeakthetruth your warden is NOT a good man. Gross.

On a completely unrelated sidenote, that makes me think of how AngryJoe kept referring to Morrigan as "Morgana" in his interview with Cameron Lee at E3 hehe.

Eva Green is hot and the only reason to go see 300:Rise of an Empire.  And yes, she could totally play Morrigan.

totally had a dream the other night that i was playing the game, and morrigan debuts just like she did in dao, coming out looking over my party saying "well, well, well what have we got...Lelianna what are you doing here!?"

How is she manipulative? The thing at the end came as a surprise to her as well and (if you romanced her) she was completely honest with you about it.

Morrigan is the best man, I hope my warden shows up as her boyfriend in the new game. Or something, ****, that guy was totally love-struck.

she pushes you to kill her mother with no real evidence, the dark ritual and abandoning you, urging you not to help others just her.  don't get me wrong my head cannon will always be the warden that fell in love with her

No real evidence?? The first grimoire was pretty good evidence, even if she didn't really understand what it was supposed to be referring to, she was completely upfront about leaving after the dark ritual even though she couldn't tell you why...she was honest and forthright throughout the whole game. She isn't quite MORAL the way we think of it because she is concerned first and foremost with survival but there is an honor in that...she's a good person. Trust.

when i play the games, i become my characters and their flaws; some of whom went in not trusting the witch.  plus i never got to read the grimoire savy?  my first play through my warder trusted her without question, in later ones she had to earn my trust or my warden didn't like her.

and to be fair all the characters try and manipulate you in some way through the approval system.  even lelianna's actions can be viewed as suspect.  to me none of the characters in any of the games thusfar are 100 percent honest, and are trying to achieve something and need you to help.  can they change?  yes.

we can go through the characters one on one if you like, but it all comes down to head cannon.

however as i have stated time and time again, if morrigan was real, i'd be on her side.

I hope it'll back fires your face hard... really I can't understand how people think it is a good idea to give such a big power to an evil witch^^ but we shall see...

I also don't understand why people like her... She is a cruel, mean, evil, manipulative ******.She thinks herself more clever than she is. She knows nothing about the world but still criticizes it any way she can. i guess people like her cuz she is "hot" and "a strong independent woman" ^^

Except for the part where she isn't an evil witch.

She knows plenty of the world and isn't evil at all, just has an unknown ulterior motives. She's a wildcard for sure but not evil and I don't think its gonna backfire at all.

I also don't understand why people like her...

  • She's driven, fiercly independent, has a keen intellect, and doesn't take bull **** from anyone.
  • She's one of the few people in Thedas with the courage to question the Chantry.
  • She's had an extremely difficult life. Hunted from a young age by the Templars, forced to fend for herself in the Wilds, coming to the realization that Flemeth, her own mother, seeks to possess her body.
  • She is mysterious, provocative, and we aren't entirely sure what her agenda is.

She isn't evil. She is a survivalist.

Leliana kills, skulks around in the shawdows, and manipulates others. The only differece is that she does it for the Divine, whereas Morrigan does it for herself.

It annoys me when people criticize Morrigan for her supposed betrayal. Are they forgetting that it was Morrigan who first encountered the Warden, provided him or her with the documents necessary to complete the joining, and nursed the Warden and Alistair back to health after the Battle of Ostagar?

Do you have issues with "strong independent women"? Bit misogynistic, eh?

I just want to point this out, Flemeth has some badass genes! Look how hot she is in DA2(I know, SOMILF), look at how hot Morrigan is and look at how hot and busty Yavana is! Their whole family can melt your soul!

I wonder if Flemeth actually donned the outfit which we see in DA2. You have to keep in mind that Varric is narrating the events of the game. He likes to sex things up ... I kind of see that as his version of Flemeth.

That being said, god only knows what her real form is. If she wants to look like a medieval battle dominatrix, I am sure that she is capable of it.

True, but why lie to Cassandra risking a sword to the throat?  But just look at her duaghters, Yavana and Morrigan are beautiful!

Wouldn't be a big lie. Just a little embellishment :D Pretty sure that Flemeth can appear in whatever human form she wishes. For some reason she prefers a human crone >.<
Also, your avatar is distracting as I remember that particulary steamy piece of fanart and my poor male mind goes to all sorts of dirty places <.<

I remember the first time I watched Billy Madison, I laughed so hard at that part I cried.
