I believe she is still firmly on the track laid out by Flemeth. Whether she knows it or not is the real question...So who here believes morrigan is still following the plans of her mother, and who believes she not?

Agreed. I hope in game we can get her the chance to actually be free from her mothers heel before it's too late.

I think we might want to find out what those plans are first. It might be for the betterment of Thedas after all, seeing as how screwed up it is now.Agreed. I hope in game we can get her the chance to actually be free from her mothers heel before it's too late.

In my mind she's hijacking Flemeth's plan with the OGB and trying to make sure Flemeth doesn't come out on top when this plan comes into fruition.

I believe she is following her plans and is aware of them. Whether she knows it completely and / or has her own agenda, remains to be seen.

I hope she has found her own way and that this way leads to better things, but fear she is unknowingly following Flemeth's design.

It's also a possibilty. She might even believe she is getting the better hand of Flemeth but is blind to her real motives. Though it is hard to tell, could go either way.

The problem with hidden schemes is you never know if they're there or not! Hard to escape or deal with them then, often too late once you find out.

True, but the minute you stop being proactive about it and instead wait for it to unfold so you can react, it is then you are doomed. Depends on the event of course, but that is usually the case.

All you can do is act with the best of intentions and hope no one is playing you like an Antagonistic Undecagonstring. I like to think that's what Morrigan is doing, but I guess we'll find out. Eventually...

Aye. We'll see if DAI will even have any such scheming. Hope so.

I believe Morrigan is following her own plans and not following Flemeth. She still a wildcard but on her own agenda.

In that, she would not be too different from everyone else.I believe she is still firmly on the track laid out by Flemeth. Whether she knows it or not is the real question...

Yeah, honestly I don't see either Flemeth or Morrigans plans as being intended to benefit Thedas (although either or both may as a side effect) but I'm guessing if they don't, Flemeths plan is much bigger and has a much better chance of succeeding, so that's the one to stop.

Why do you assume her plans are detrimental to Thedas as a whole?Yeah, honestly I don't see either Flemeth or Morrigans plans as being intended to benefit Thedas (although either or both may as a side effect) but I'm guessing if they don't, Flemeths plan is much bigger and has a much better chance of succeeding, so that's the one to stop.

Well can you now?
Not that those aren't great pictures. Thank you for posting them.
So creepy ^^.
I still believe in the OGB not being that bad, and as strange as it can seem, I trust Morrigan. And if I'm mistaken to do so, so be it. Morrigan is deep, has secrets, is selfish, yet, I cannot color her evil.

I'm not? I said I don't think they intend to help Thedas as a whole. Basically I think their plans are each about themselves, and if they help or hurt thedas that's just a side effect of getting the plan done. So their plans may help thedas if helping thedas helps their plan..or they may hurt thedas if that's what's required for their plans. I don't think that the status of Thedas as a whole is really considered in either of their plans. I don't know their plans so I don't know if they would end up being better or worse for Thedas, but Im' guessing no matter what their plans are, Flemeths will be bigger and have larger/longer lasting effects.

Just found this fanart of Morri and the OGB. I never could picture the child as evil, even if there are risks. Hope we'll get to see another side of Morrigan, more humane.
I like this, but I do kind of expect the kid to look round and smile ominously like at the end of the original The Omen.....

Getting your child used to silly mage hats early, good planning.

I almost want to believe she is seeing that she still goes through with flemeth's plan with the god child, yet in witch hunt she warns against flemeth. Keeping the child from her, why would she do this if she was doing as flemeth wanted?I believe she is still firmly on the track laid out by Flemeth. I think Morrigan is substituting Asha'bellanar's plan for one of her own, and she might be using the foundation of the original plan as a springboard for something she cooked up on her own. Perhaps the Inquisitor might be presented with the choice between siding with Asha'bellanar or Morrigan.
