A lot of presuppositions here. "I will kill X because they might become a monster". By that rationale, you'll end up depopulating the world.

I'm not saying the Dark Ritual came without consequences ofcourse. Or atleast, I expect something to happen.

 

But I don't believe Morrigan was trying to make it a monster.

Considering that they said being a Mother changed Morrigan a bit (though I think she'll be different from DAO regardless of the choice), I doubt that her intention is making the OGB a monster.
Maybe waiting to see how they both act in DAI (if the OGB will be in) is a better approach.

Then why did your Warden do the ritual...? Morrigan tells you up front that a) there will be a child with the Old God soul and b ) she will raise the child alone. The Warden knows all this when accepting her offer.

I loved Morrigan in Dragon Age: Origins.  I loved how hard and 'survival of the fittest' she was at first, and how soft she became by the end (at least to my warden.)  I can't wait to meet her again.
