Mine was a sarcastic snarky elf blood mage Warden but I agree...If we step into the Eluvian with Morrigan, we should have the father-son moment...

my canon warden was a kind but complete hedonist blood/spirit healer.

I get the issues for the warden but just gives a cc and personality style like hawke and we will content... Now im worried my mhawke's merril romance will be handwaved.. damn you paranoia

yeah the least they could do is give him some black features or something. I mean viv and izzy are black (rivaini are the equalvelent i think) it should be too hard to do a da2 situation. Im tired of being the token black guy that nobody listens to XD

I am expecting this child to be the best mixture of my good-hearted Warden and survival-Morrigan. Basically like a hardened Alistair. If this child is an old God, with powers or whatever, raised by Morrigan AND a "good" Warden in some place far away, I think he would come out to be the best thing that ever happened to Thedas

Yeah, Rivain is the country with black people but the DA2 engine couldn't render black people so Izzy looked middle eastern. I hope they do give the OGB some black features and hair if the Warden was black.

They could at least give him a Drake look or have a system set up like DA2 with Hawke's CC controls the family's look.

I'm on a cellphone now so I can't post pics for comparison but just google Grey Warden Insígnia and you'll see it's the exact same design. The only difference is that the insígnia usually has two heads.

As for the blood, I imagine Morrigan made it safe. Altough one could easily write how it reminds her of when she stole a mirror at great personal danger and thus she lets the boy keep it.

Because it's a gift from his papa and he never takes it off: headcanon.

 

I just noticed a picture of Blackwall and it has the same design, so maybe they changed it (again) or it's another variant? Man, those Grey Wardens love creating new logo designs to increase brand recognition, they're obsessed with it!

 

True, we know that Blood Magic can be used to remove the Taint from things and we saw that the Eluvian in Witch Hunt was located in the Mother's former lair, so she'd apparently done some cleansing to avoid the same fate as the Dalish Warden and Tamlen?

 

In truth, Alistair is the father in my canon.

 

But I'm a bit saddened that the raven hair Amell signature look didn't carry over for my mage.

 

That's so weird, aside from you using Duncan's hair instead of the small ponytail, our Amell Wardens are totally identical?

 

It's even weirder when you factor in that Morrigan's got raven hair and golden eyes, so;

Why does the OGB have brown hair and eyes? I know it's possible from genetics, but it's just a little weird that he doesn't have any of the same hair or eye colouration as she does? Personally, I always thought they'd make the OGB look more like her, so the Warden's appearance would remain vague?

This warden was a (partially failed) attempt at having a bit of consistency with Leandra and Marian/Carver defaults looks. But I ended up liking him. He will be my second import.

I dare say your warden's mustache is thinner and looks better trimmed

Yeah I would have liked the OGB (well it's a normal child in my Amell PT) to inherit his mother's and Flemeth's eyes to better mark him as the "Swamp Witch" son regardless of who is the father and what he looks like. There are origins which give you a glimpse of what your family looks like (the CE's mother, Human and Dwarf Nobles' families, Casteless dwarf sister), and it can force the player to roleplay as not being blood related (unless mods).

Could be annoying.

I'd hate to burst ppls bubble but I think the child will always look like this, maybe plus/minus necklace.

It was in the official art book someone got early.

But I think it had to be done considering Hawke gets CC and the warden doesnt.

Still it brings a tear to my eye cuz the Canon I'm using is my Male human mage with long brown hair and tattoos who romanced morrigan. ='D
