Who had any Gear? I just got my first 3 level 1 Gear yesterday before bed. And I really wish most of you haven't forgot how annoying Reapers were and still are when not hiding behind uber OP setups, is the message I'm sending here.

Go back to your post and check what it says. There is no mention of the gear slot being one way or the other. Besides, I already did your challenge when I first started on PC. I was using Katanas and other assorted crap until I got lone wolf, and then I hack for credits because I already have 1500 hours. A Phaeston I on an HI isn't great against gold Reapers, but you can spec him for armor negation and debuff from Cryo Blast, with heavy hitting grenades. The only problem is double Banshees, but that can be solved too with them only being on 3 or 4 waves.

I even started doing no equipment/no gear Gold solos for the hell of it, so you can put that "you just don't understand" BS back up your own ass.

I don't know of what being talked about in these last few posts, but I'm just about to start playing again on this new day, so I will just say this; Sniping on the PS3 with the PS3 gamepad is out of the freaking question (at least for quite some time until I adjust to them analog sticks... if it ever happens after what megabeast said). So getting my first piercing mod for SR was a joke. Going to have to level up the Infiltrator class with other weapons.

 

Will reply to what was being said when I get back after some games. Don't faith!

You're talking to people who played this game with shitty weapons, before gear existed and when the Reapers were arguably the hardest faction. We had to find other ways to mitigate armour and make what we had work, and we also discovered things about the game together. You don't know how to play this game better than us, and you are not better than us.

I've also bumped into you numerous times, but you wouldn't know me as I'm hardly a known quantity on here, but you played OP sh1t, did not help with objectives and bled out on devices.

Man, I can even 66666 my new Batguard I just got nearly as easy as on X-Box because on the PS3 for some lame reason the game keeps hanging with the "Waiting for other players" message screen even after matches finish?!!! And this happened "all the time." Even when I host. Like heck. And the only two Vanguard I like are him and the female Turian. Otherwise I hate Vanguard.

 

Using the Mattock is a pain too because it's so weak right now plus got no or no good equipment to buff it up, and that all adds up to way too much tapping. Though at least the R2 shoulder button on the PS3 seems more ideal for fast tapping, the way the gamepad never sits comfortably in my hand just evens things out in this area.. ... Well, back to very boring leveling up all my characters still (seems like it's taking forever on the PS3 by comparison? No way I'm doing the N7 challenge again).

That might be the number one reason I got rid of my PS3.  The controllers just suck.

Agreed.  The controls need some sort of tactile feedback rather than just float freely.  Stiffer controls mean increased precision.  IMHO.

I still don't get the were I contradict myself there in them two quotes? Cause I was saying that Reaper remark to everyone else, not me. I know how annoying two Banshees are with weak setup and especially on a small map like Glacier.

 

And yes, I like "some" challenge (I quoted it for a reason), but don't mean I have to like the annoyance of always being chased by two Banshees because there is no way I can take even one out without making a few laps around a map. That kind of challenge is just a tad beyond silly for me. Kind of how some folks don't want to deal with Geth BS.

 

And, whenever I mentioned liking "some" challenge, I don't say I'm super pro at this game, cause I'm not (still far from it), and like to find the "just right" challenge setup in pug lottery. Or that I don't play with friends and OP setups even. But a maxed manifest Ghost Harrier in Bronze & Silver pugging is not right and never will be. Heck, it's not right even work for Gold + I'm not the only one that would leave a lobby like that. megabeast kicks Harrier Ghosts in Gold all the time I hear? So I'm not the only one that don't approve of certain setups. And I'm more then sure most avoid certain lobbies as well. Everyone has preferences, and everyone talks about it.

Well it was directed to a general audience. But I'm glad you understand the annoyance of double banshees with super weak setups. Send me a friend request and well run away from Banshees together.

 

And yeah, I of course had cryo for debuff. Debuff I'm in great need of right now. But the Sticky nade points I was saving for last to level up since I have no nade gear of any kind, so only had like two points in at the time (plus forgot I had them). But will bring it to 5 like I always do, regardless. Cause even without any nade gear they should be of very great help.

But only you lecture everyone about how they should be playing the game and accuse anyone who doesn't meet your standard of 'fair play' to be cheaters.

Man, this games cover system is so much more freaking annoying when you are totally powerless. Like wow. Never had I had the urge to smash a gamepad playing this game as I have now at this blasted cover system and on a foreign gamepad too (just lost extracting cause I couldn't run away properly with no gels and ops left). And folks picking Giant, really? That's why that match was on Giant? But yeah, seems like on the PS3 fighting the same factions & stages over and over is very normal? Much more so then on 360.

 

 

Anyyays, yeah, just tried the Asari Vanguard.... crap, I forgot the about the 6666 glitch!!! ... lame pugs and their lame giant preset.  But yeah, just got my Phalanx so slap it on the boring Asari I said. And yeah, never have I ever felt so totally powerless and useless as in this Gold game. And the pugs about my level too (I came in third, but the scores were very close). I was nailing this Prime is the head everytime for ages. Halfway through it's armour I said enough and ran to my teammates. Cause yeah, only together could we take 'em down.  Just wish I was playing with a more interesting kit and weapon, being the only real issue.

 

Yeah, today I had good luck with pug lottery (except the presets), but never in my time have I ever handicapped myself this much on my other manifest. I mean, I knew of team play, but not on this kind of level. So even I am learning more on this matter, learning no matter how poor the pugs and setup, extraction always usually happen somehow via teamwork?. ... K enough boring Vanguards. Going to level something else up...  day 3 and still leveling characters? Wasn't I able to do this in one day on X-Box?
