What I want to do is add Shockwave & Incinerate to my Sentinel.

I have followed the instructions from

1)

http://forum.bioware...wto-add-powers/

and 2)

https://docs.google....KwhcGFA/preview

Nothing from no1 worked for me, and from no2 I was able to successfully add Zaeed's Inferno Grenade, but afterwards I decided to replace it with Incinerate. But I can't get the darn thing to work!!! At first I attempted to completely remove CryoFreeze because I hate it, but it didn't even come close to working so I scrapped that.

Then In Gibbed I've tried several different variations for both Incinerate & Shockwave - each power variation seperately.

SFXGameContent_Powers.SFXPower_Shockwave_Player

SFXGameContent_Powers.SFXPower_Shockwave

SFXGameContent_Powers.SFXPower_Shockwave_Adept (since I read on another page you need to mention which class it comes from)

Current Rank: 0/1

Name: Shockwave/Incinerate

Wheel Display In: 0/5/6/7

but they all refuse to work, and I'm this close to pulling my hair out. I don't want to keep using Jack or Mordin every time I want those two powers.

As much as I'd love to see someone tear their hair out, this is a silly situation to result in that, so, first off:

1. Attempts to add any powers besides bonus ones through Gibbed will never take; the game auto-corrects for any 'anomalous' additions in the save file, at least when it comes to powers.

2. The bottom half of the first link you have is the correct method for adding new powers and creating bind keys for them through the Coalesced editor. Note that sometimes a command or two for a key will act up on occasion. For example, you've set the 'v' key to give your player the incinerate ability, and to set it to a certain evolution. Sometimes it only remembers to set the evolution, so if you simply type out the first command you needed, then press v, you'll still get the evolved Incineration power you want, without having to spend more talent points.

If you need help with this, send me a PM.

AH it worked!! The pyjak didn't specify WHICH Binaries folder to put the txt file in so I just assumed it was the Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 2\Binaries

but noooooooooooo it's the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Mass Effect 2\Binaries

Thanks for your reply Blad3y, helped a lot regardless. And you were right, it did forget to actually set the evolution and I had to up-rank it myself, but adding talent points is the easiest thing in the world with a working console.

Strangely enough, the Inferno Grenade I added with the Gibbed is still there :). However the Shockwave method works like in ME3, you have to keep reapplying it after every loading screen, unlike the Gibbed one that worked. It's there for good.
