"I'm here to kick ass and chew bubble gum....and I'm all out of gum."
"Here I am....Rock you like a hurricane..."
"Silly enemies. You cannot withstand the force of my foot crushing your head which amuses me so."
Awesome.

I can't hear Ben Stein's voice anymore without also hearing all the dumb things he's said in interviews related to politics, and thinking of his dreadful "movie."
God that movie was hypocritical.

Plainly, how would the elcor be useful in a fight apart from as a slow moving meat shield? /monotone off
Walking weapons platform. They are strong enough to carry and fire ultra heavy weapons, they mount them right on their backs.
Didn't you ever read your codex?

They still move very slowly and are large targets for enemies to concentrate on. I'd prefer not to wait ten minutes for an elcor to slowly lumber into positionvhatever wrote...

"I shall call you Mobile Firing Platform"
"Distraught, but my name is Dave"
"Silence! Tanks don't talk"
Do we actually know how fast they move? Bears, Gorillas, Hippos, Elephants... they all look awkward and heavy, but they could totally outrun you.

I believe the Elcor Ambassador said something about them preferring/being evolved to move slowly, due to the high gravity on their world. Methinks he said that if they were to trip and fall, it could be fatal.

If you move at a slothlike speed on a planet were you weigh so much that that tripping would kill you... how fast do you think you could move on a planet like Earth if you really wanted to?
Imagine going from 2000 lbs to 200 lbs
its true... loads of people get killed by getting trampled by hippos
Hippos actually kill more humans each year than any other animal.
Hippos weigh up to 8000 pounds and can gallop at 18 m.p.h.--a lot faster than you. ~ The Straight Dope
I guess that means getting charged by one would be like getting hit by a truck on a residential street.

On a planet with normal gravity I think the Elcor would probably run faster then us
Debetable ofcourse. But it makes sense. If you have lived with a mountain on your back for as long as you know and your body is used to it - what happens if you remove the said mountain. I think you'd be much more agile.
I think the reason they don't move as much on ME1 is because they are not used to. If the entire species has never actually moved faster then slow walking, then it must be rather difficult to learn how to run.
Just saying that this shouldn't be a problem in the long run...

Wow sir, you just had a brilliant Idea. Ben Stein would be perfect for an Elcor role.

And as for "How would they be useful?" Think of a gorilla - that can use guns. Yeah, it's kinda like that.
