No, I´m not talking about Coca Cola bottles placed in Mass Effect games to generate funds (though it would theoretically be possible for Coca Cola to survive that long). I mean: placement of Mass Effect outside Mass Effect.
For example, give Chris Roberts permission to use known Mass Effect species in a purely non-canonical manner in his upcoming game Star Citizen. He needs more aliens, Mass Effect could use something to keep peoples' interest in Mass Effect alive while we're waiting a few years for the next Mass Effect game, Chris Roberts (and his brther Erin) definitely still have contacts within EA, so make it happen! It's a different universe, so whatever the species does in Star Citizen would not affect Mass Effect. It's just a little bit of interaction between the developers. Kinda like the Star Wars theme played in ET, and ET appearing in Star Wars.
