OK, I got into a London/geth game underway with only a Krogan. First off, there's nowhere to rest away from the crossfires on London, and any two shots kills the Drell, so I died a lot. Anyway, first objective was an exposed hack. This guy was useless. Popping up to shoot gets him right down to health, or dead. Cloaking to use the grenade fools no one; they shoot as soon as he stands up while the long animation fires off the grenade, which gets him dead. Hiding was futile; enemies on high ground shoot over cover. The poor Krogan was constantly reviving. And when I went to revive, I had to use a missile to clear the nearby trash, and usually was dead by the time the Krogan was up. 

 

Got through the next waves by doing a lot of running away and sniping. 

 

Wave 10 objective was also an exposed hack, by which time I was out of gel and missiles. We aborted. 

 

So are hacks and duos just a lost cause with this flimsy squish, or am I do it all wrong? I don't find many assassin solos on youtube; I don't wonder why.

Struggling with London Hacks says more about London Hacks than the Drell Assassin. They're tough for everyone.. even Juggies. Just try to stagger everything.. split homing nades do a good job of this. There's a few of the hacks where there is moderate safe cover.. but there are two in particular that are just brutal.

Options:
Kite the enemy away, go back to hack, repeat.
RM at chocke point to make killing/surviving easier. For both you and your teammate.
Missile large groups and hope for the best.

Some hacks/devices are just that hard and actually do require some luck, rather "skill" (llooll "skill"). Get the f' and reset the situation ifneed be. Because some times the game will just has this answer to your missile/best shot: " llooll insta-spawn!"

Sometimes it's just bad luck. You could try to not go into the hack. Instead clear and control the spawns so that they are not near the hack. Then draw aggro on you. Set down your Recon mine to slow them down.

If you do go into the hack, do a lot of dodging and running side to side. Hide where you can, don't shoot, unless needed and keep invisible so as to not draw aggro.

This is why it's best to just hack and run. You never have to worry about hacking then.

Not really legit, plus you only got a 25% chance that you get there first, so I really wouldn't rely on it.

Lol, you don't have to be the one to press it. Have someone press it and make sure to stay close to the border to get out in time. I've done a couple of times, but I always come back to the circle since I don't want to be unfair to the teammates, 'cause some never come back...

I can't think of one thing I'd add to make the above post better...the informative portion of this thread is now over IMO...back to that "stretching" pic...

I don't play Drell Assassin too much because I think he is OP. He is Drell with TC. Nough said.

Moreover he has recon mine, to annoy your teammates. Specially of they are BSN snobs get ready to be blocked. Lol.

Jokes aside. Just play him a few times and you will get him.

I fear collectors more. Scion Grenade / praetorian laser and Collector captain's fart spam is much worse than turrets and phantom stabs.
