I know this is a very small detail and non-story plot issue but still, it kind of irritates me.  I imported from DAO a noble female Warden who romanced Alistair.  I made him king and marry Anora but he kept my Warden as his mistress.  I was really looking forward to the reference to this during the King Alistair quest in DA2, but I just got the friend reference, that Teagan states the Hero is returning to Denerim and Alistair says she has a name.  

 

I have searched this over the internet and have read there is a bug with PS3 regarding this but what I have read also references Awakening, which I did not install and play.  So, my question is this a bug with PS3 in general or if you also installed Awakening?

Serious response now: I doubt it's an Awakening exclusive thing. Not many choices are actually imported from Awakening, only the very ****** up ones; for example I decided to make the grave error of treating Anders like a human being and so he ended up liking my male Warden's **** like everyone else from the game.

It's a bug. If you were Alistair's mistress when he was king or you two were lovers and remained Wardens, he will only refer to you as a friend. The only time Alistair refers to you in a "romantic" way is if you married him, and then he calls you "the old ball and chain."

 

Zevran is also bugged. If you romanced him, he only acts like you were friends in his quest in DA2.

Yeah, in my first play through of DAO and DA2, my fem Warden married him and became Queen, as was referred to as "the old ball and chain."  I'm a huge Alistair fan, so I was pretty disappointed by this bug.

I noticed quite a few bugs concerning romances from Origins.

 

Another Zevran bug that kinda irks me is if you romanced him he can either

1. Only acknowledge you as a friend

or

2. Acknowledges the romance but he talks about you as if you sacrificed yourself to slay the archdemon, even if you didn't. If you have Isabela in the party and she tries to convince him to have sex, he'll say something to the extent of "Not this time. The wounds are still too fresh." Then Isabela will be all shocked, "you fell for the Warden?" And thats the end of it.

 

I don't romance Zevran very often, because I love my Alistair too much. But the one time I do, he thinks I'm dead in DA2.. what the heck...

 

I really hope for DA:I they won't have these kind of issues

I agree. I hope the Keep fixes all of these bugged romances, so we get the content we're supposed to in DA:I.

 

For the part where Zevran acts like you died, did you have to use that Import Fixes mod for the PC to get that? I know I've played DA2 a bunch of times on the PS3 and only ever got the friend acknowledgement, even though I romanced him. I guess the "dead romance" acknowledgement would be better than him jumping in the sack with Isabela.

I'm experimenting with editing my PS3 saves as we speak, and I just got around to editing my import flags. I have 3 wardens who romanced Zevran, 1 did the Ultimate Sacrifice and 2 others are alive, so if I can get there fast enough to check it out I might just have a way of fixing it myself.
