And honestly, her fears aren't really unfounded either. This same galactic council who humanity is suppose to trust allowed a genocide and long-lasting genocide plague of two intelligent species under their rule, didn't offer any aid to humanity in the first contact war and would have allowed the turians to wipe humanity off the face of the map, then left humanity to fend for itself against pirates, raiders, slavers, and an entire species covert and military operations.

Humanity would have been conquered by the Turians without council intervention.

Pigs could be smarter than some people, but pigs are delicious so it doesn't matter.

See, this is why I don't eat pork! Also don't find the meat good at all...

Aliens...

I'll stick to humans thank you. Caucasian or White-European descended (I'll take East Asian too).

What i explained answered your question about why salarians should consider other sapient life forms as equals. They may make better scientists but their modes of culture are comparable to the rest of us. As for why our kind of life forms have established 'dominance' is for the same reason we can consider ourselves the top of the food chain. Besides I dont know where youre getting the idea anyone is discounting animal rights just because of the legal definition of racism. Yes, it is because of our man made standards of sapience, that animals do not qualify as being victims of racism Animal abuse, yes. Racism, no.

But I said absolutely nothing about animal abuse. All I'm saying is that perhaps our standards aren't universal. If I dropped you in the middle of an Amazonian rainforest you'd be dead inside half an hour for all our supposed superiority. Take an animal from the rainforest and put him in a town and it'll live longer(until it meets a shotgun). Maybe a salarian could communicate with a dog? I don't know, I haven't seen evidence to disprove this notion. All races in ME are humans with masks, in the real world the setup would look a lot differently. What if Asari measured sapience based on the ability to tap into one's mind? Wouldn't the rest of the galaxy be a bunch of primitive brutes to them?

I wish desperately there was some sort of middle path between "rah rah Council" and outright racism and lust for power. I object to the Council on moral grounds based on past behavior, not that humans don't have a big enough piece of the pie.

I'm on the same boat as you. In general, Mass Effect could do with less extremes.

What is it with you and double standards? All the asari are gross, but every time somebody mentions something about quarians you're practically drooling?

Believe me, the hair thing is really more of a strange stereotype(like the really weird stereotypes about Germans, ugh). If anything maybe a Northern French thing, but not down here in Marseille or Toulouse.

Stuck up? Yeah, many are...

They're stuck up? You're saying that like it's a bad thing. That's what makes it fun ^
