Perhaps an in depth description of the combat styles of each of the 9 followers and an in depth description of their personalities would help.

Also knowing their personal interests, hobbies and favourite food and beverages would help immensely.

 

Okay I was kidding about the favourite food part, but you get the point.

So far I have two parties planned
Iron Bull, Sera, and Solas/Dorian
Cassandra/Blackwall, Varric, and Dorian/Viv
If Cole is a companion I'll alternate between the three rogues. I really like all the companions so far!

Since I don't plan on playing a mage for my first playtrhough, Viv will probably be my go to mage.

Varric is going to be in it either way. Outside Varric, it's tough to say for me. It entirely depends on what class I roll first time through. Iron Bull and Sera seem like interesting characters to me. I don't know though.
