Halo.
One of gaming's most popular franchises, known to those both inside and outside the gaming hemisphere.
The series began in late 2001, and is still kicking to this day.
With Halo: The Master Chief Collection coming out later this year, and
coming out in 2015, I thought, lets talk about it. Its been years since I've played anything in the series, but I think I'm gonna jump back in.
I've got an Xbox One right now so I've got no worries as far as playing it goes but yeah, no idea.

No sir.
The new character's name is "Locke", and he will be searching for the Master Chief. I believe his story will be explained in the Ridley Scott live action series, but I don't know for sure.
Its been confirmed however that Master Chief remains the main playable protagonist in the games. Locke is clearly important, but he's not taking over Chief's position.

Are you referring to Ridley Scott's Halo: Nightfall(digital series), or Steven Spielberg's Halo television series? The latter will air on Showtime in late 2015, coinciding with Guardians.

No clue. I don't think there's a lot of information out on Nightfall or the television series.
What I do know is that in the E3 showing, we heard The Arbiter telling Locke to find The Master Chief(setting up Halo 5: Guardians).
Knowing Nightfall to be a prequel to Guardians, I'm assuming it's going to follow Locke prior to that responsibility being thrown his way.

Unsure about getting the Master Chief Collection. I love Halo and I really want a Halo 5 beta code but my wallet may be overtaxed since I'm CoD (yep sux it haters), depend entirely on whether or not I get Evil Within I suppose
The HMCC will likely endure for the life of the X1 but waiting for it could be a mistake
