The Halo PAX stream has been going on all day, mostly with a tournament between the World's best Halo players, and holy *expletive* its been wild to see these people play some remade Halo 2 multiplayer games from the MCC in 1080p and 60 fps. I've had it on my Xbox One and notebook all day like a damned Halo television channel, ahahaha

 

Intense games, the pace has been mental, insane moments(definitely montage worthy), and just a little while ago was a CLOSE Capture the Flag match between two teams. UUUUUUGH

So when do we average players can get our hands on the multiplayer?

Well... I don't think there will be a beta for it. Usually they have a 'preorder this and get to play the multiplayer demo' thing. There's no halo game coming out between now and then so unless Microsoft decides they want you to pre-order a different series for a beta.... I'm going to say November.

 

Seeing all this classic halo hype makes me want an Xbone. First FPS I played seriously was H3 (har har, newb-scrub l2h2) and have always preferred it's gameplay to the ones coming after even if I liked Reach. Seeing H2 on display... Darn. I want it.

When the game releases on November 11th. Though I didn't get day one shipping as I'll be playing the game after I'm done with Inquisition. Maybe I'll change back to day one shipping if I feel like it.

I'm a JRPG guy and Microsoft doesn't get a lot of the games I like. I mean, sure MCC is a great draw but if I'm going to wind up buying one of them for the games I like, it's going to wind up being a PS4. My ideal situation is having a friend with an Xbone and playing MCC when they get it, unfortunately all my friends are sony people.

I wouldn't call that unfortunate. I'd call that lucky, that way you don't miss out on friends if you stick with one console.

We have to coordinate four games, 100-plus maps, a lot of new cinematics, and Halo 2 Anniversary.”
