Just got back from town from trading in some games and buying the MCC, things installing right now.
Can't wait to play it.

Now I don't know if I want a PS4 or not.
Damn it. Planetside 2 or halo?
Halo 2 Anniversary Campaign is amazing. 10/10

I won't tell you what you should buy with your money, but I will say that the beta looks so similar to Halo 4 that it put me right off. I didn't enjoy that game's multiplayer at all. It was basically Halo:CoD. This beta looks like more of the same. Halo 3 is the still the pinnacle of the series, IMO.

No, it's not. It's still the same campaign as the original with added CGI cutscenes. It's still the worst entry in the series.
Just picked up Master Chief Collection, I'm loving the redone Halo 2

Halo 2 has a better plot than any halo game released to date, and better than most, if not all FPS games to date. This remaster just reassured how excellent it is.
It's a hell'v a lot better than when they remastered CE, or should I say retextured...
There have been issue's regarding match making, but 343 has apologized for these issue's and are working on resolving them. Its good to see 343 owning up to their issue's rather than ignoring them *looks at Destiny and Battlefield 4*.

Different opinions are funny? What?

EDIT: Really it's just Halo fans like him that get me. It's like anything outside of Xbox or Halo doesn't exist or doesn't count.

I cannot f*cking believe how bad 343 and M$ fvcked up the matchmaking and servers.... Oh my GAWD! Dafuq is wrong with them.
Apart from that.... Stellar. Simply put... Amazing. But..... Why should I be surprised it has 4 of the greatest games ever made in one collection, lol. HALO 2 is just great, although I think HALO 4 is the best SP out of all the games and speaking of.... HALO 4 looks better than every single other game on XB1 besides I'd say BF4 and Ryse. Man.... HALO 4 is Stunning in this collection. The H2 anniversary is nice too but drops frames a ton. But the cutscense are amazing.
Dat matchmaking tho....... Wow, that's BAD. Hopefully it gets worked out.

I said its one of the best FPS games of all time. Because IMO it is. The only FPS that rivals it is the Metro series. Battlefield, COD and Destiny are all godawful. Wolfenstein wasn't anything special either.
You could bring up the really old school shooters (goldeneye, wolfenstein and doom), you could argue that, but I prefer Halo 2 over goldeneye (never played those other two)

In your opinion. I've played them all and I think Halo 2 is easily the worst main entry in the series. The campaign's level design was super linear and the arbiter missions were awful. The story was serviceable, but it wasn't anything special. This remaster only proves one thing: Halo still sells Xboxes.
At least we agree on Destiny.
Finished H2A now going to do H3.
Hah, I played four missions or so in Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary before switching to Unity a bit earlier than expected.
Thats not a knock on Halo, I just wanted to get some AC in ahead of time.

I was interested in Unity until I heard about the awful framerate and glitches. IMO, any game that struggles just to reach 30fps should not see the light of day.

It is MEGA populated, like waaay beyond any past AC game, its mental. So I'd understand, but so far the frame rate has only dropped a few times. Otherwise, steady 30 with the insane amounts of people walking around.

I've seen how populated the game is. But that's all for nothing if the frame rate takes a nose dive.

Did you prefer 3's story? The one where half of the campaign was filler? Where the Arbiter, Covenant Civil War, and Elite/Human alliance were all basically all scrapped and barely had any screen time?
Or the mess that was Halo 4, where characters like Palmer and Lasky had about 5 lines of dialogue in the entire Campaign (at least this was made up for in spartan ops), and the villain barely had screen time or proper motives (unless you looked out extended lore)?
CE and 2 were the games with the best stories, because they worked. CE had a straight forward plot, that was well written, and 2 expanded on that universe and pushed into new directions. Both had excellent plot twists as well. Neither 3 or 4 come anywhere near the first two. And lets not even mention the abomination called Reach, which is easily the worst Halo game ever created.
And in terms of level design, 3 did exceed, and had the best, I will agree with that. The two missions The Ark, and the Covenant should be the standard of how missions in Halo 5 are designed. That being said, enemy design was terrible. The game was way to easy. Brutes were jokes compared to the Halo 2 versions, they were to easy to kill and uninteresting. Hunters and Jackals were also far easier to kill.

Yes, I did prefer Halo 3's story aside from the annoying stuff with gravemind. I preferred the return to form that Halo 3 was. The stuff with the arbiter wasn't that interesting to me in Halo 2 and the missions were boring. I thought Reach had a very straightforward storyline that just didn't have the emotional impact that it was trying to get across.
I agree with the brutes being too easy to kill in Halo 3. I brought that up to a friend once and he said it was probably because the brutes took the place of the elites in Halo 3. Sounds about right. Halo 4 was at least closer to the books and I really liked that. I've read the books. The level design was a lot closer to Halo 2, though, and that really put me off. I greatly disliked Halo 4's multiplayer, and Halo 5 looks about the same. It looks like Halo 4 in 1080p, really. Pretty disappointing for a 'next-gen' Halo game.

The graphics aren't anything mind blowing I agree, but at least the gameplay looks somewhat interesting. I just hope it doesnt flop like 4's.
And about the Brutes. Yes, they are supposed to act more like Elites, but last I checked, Elites in CE and 2 were actually challenging to fight, way more than the Halo 3 Brutes.

Yeah well, they made up for it with Reach. The elites in that game are still the most fun to fight. The AI in that game was spectacular.

The AI was good but their animations were terrible. Compare the way the move around, melee, and fight to how the move in Halo 2. I dislike that they reused the Reach animations in 4 as well.
The best thing in Reach was honestly the Hunter AI. They nailed them. Toughest Hunters in the series.
In my honest opinion.
I think HALO 4 is the best in the series. Now.... Just here me out.
So when I played and play HALO 4, I don't play the infinity playlists(The loadout and care package version of HALO 4) I played either legendary slayer, proving grounds, maybe some Big Team Battle and Team doubles. And in my opinion, when all the loadout crap and care packages are out of HALO 4 that game is AMAZING to play in comp. It had easily the best visuals of the series, and even in the MCC edtion I think HALO 4 is the smoothest and best looking. The sound design was stellar as well and the writing and voice acting was amazing. But I'm telling you. HALO 4 Legendary/MLG type of playlists (proving grounds, team doubles, legendary slayer) was f*cking amazing. It truly is.
And, it easily has the top 2 maybe best SP of the series (Maybe HALO CE).
