The AI was good but their animations were terrible. Compare the way the move around, melee, and fight to how the move in Halo 2. I dislike that they reused the Reach animations in 4 as well.
The best thing in Reach was honestly the Hunter AI. They nailed them. Toughest Hunters in the series.
They were pretty bad overall until Halo 4.

So when I played and play HALO 4, I don't play the infinity playlists(The loadout and care package version of HALO 4) I played either legendary slayer, proving grounds, maybe some Big Team Battle and Team doubles. And in my opinion, when all the loadout crap and care packages are out of HALO 4 that game is AMAZING to play in comp. It had easily the best visuals of the series, and even in the MCC edtion I think HALO 4 is the smoothest and best looking. The sound design was stellar as well and the writing and voice acting was amazing. But I'm telling you. HALO 4 Legendary/MLG type of playlists (proving grounds, team doubles, legendary slayer) was f*cking amazing. It truly is.
And, it easily has the top 2 maybe best SP of the series (Maybe HALO CE).

Yeah, I've been waiting for this collection for quite awhile. Gonna grab it as soon as possible after work and hang out with my friends for some good ol fashioned Halo 2 MP. God, it sure has been years...

This def. makes a pretty impressive slice of video gaming history. I just wish they had packed Reach along too; many consider it best or 2nd best of the franchise. It also has added benefit of not being over 10 years old.

Flagship product of PS4 is a re-release of one year old game. It has went through graphics fixes that move TLOU from 2013 and put it to 2014.This is every bit as significant as it sounds. (spoiler: not very)
Flagship product of Xbone updates and upgrades couple of Halo games to twilight-of-Xbox360-era -level of quality.
By far most impressive 3rd party release for NewGen is going to be another re-release from 2013.
Current History of NewGen reads like some Onion article. "Man I can't wait to get to buy&play the games that I have!!"
I'm eagerly waiting for the day til my commendable self betrayal skills work their magic to ridiculously severe enough degree to make buying either of the two look like a good idea.
The point of the Halo MCC was primarily Halo 2 Anniversary, which is definitely top notch. Halo CE Ann was just carried over from a few years ago with a few touch-ups, and Halo 3 and 4 were touched-up slightly. They aren't expected to completely recreate every main Halo title from the ground up.

I watched beta gameplay of halo 5.
Truth be told, I'm not really interested in the game. The weapon sounds odd, there's on roar to the humble assault rifle and such.
I think I'll stick to a PS4.
But I'll still discuss the current games with you all, if you don't mind.

I didn't realise I could get the Halo channel on windows till you just mentioned it. So thanks for the heads up there as I won't have my console for the release of the other episodes.
I conveniently had the week off from uni as the MCC came out, meaning I could actually return home and play it for a week. Which was interesting because, as we found:

But yeah, the first ep of Nightfall seemed all right. Not sold on Locke yet within the show, but I already like him anyways after his Arbiter conversation in the MCC. I'll get to to episode 2 when I have a moment.

Patch to fix matchmaking coming out tomorrow, as well as some campaign issues
So far, I've made it through the first three campaigns(CE, 2, 3). Still have to complete 4.
And apparently, Halo 3: ODST(bumped up to 1080p/60fps) will be added for free to the Master Chief Collection if you owned it from launch to the 19th of December. Yay for early adopters!

I have fond memories of trying (and somehow ultimately failing) to do that in co-op back in the day.

That is EXACTLY what killed my interest in Halo years ago, hahaha. After I had them all, I had to go on a multi-year Halo break until I picked it up again with the MCC.
