Well well... I watched the Spartan Locke armor ad.
Finally, the true power of a Spartan IV is shown. I'm impressed. This is what they needed to be.
Palmer, GTFO.

Eh, that's where I kind of thought it was a bit over the top.
It's not really the user so much as it is the armor. GEN2 MJOLNIR kicks ass.

In a little over one minute, Spartan Locke has become more badass than Sarah Palmer.

I don't like what they're trying to sell Locke as now.
I liked him in Nightfall, and in how he was portrayed in Halo 2: Anniversary.
I liked how he was portrayed as a character playing more off an intellectual and rational search for the Chief, and how he worked in ONI.
Now, it seems like they're trying to make him seem like an Evangelion or something.

He's Chief's replacement; you can be damn sure they'll do whatever they can to make him seem as badass as possible, in order to ease the inevitable transition.

But it'll cause an outrage if Chief is replaced too soon.
To be honest, I grew up with the Chief, but he's got to go some day. He cannot be there forever. But let him pass the torch in a badass way. Give Locke a chance is all I'm saying. As long as he's done correctly I may like him.

A bit off-topic. But I always wondered how Chief survived the nuke in Halo 4. I realized it's Cortana who saved him, but how?

Yeah but you can't keep the chief forever. That's the thing. All stories must have an end.

You absolutely can keep the Chief forever. There's always room for new stories with him.

admittedly, think halo is kind of at the end of it's life cycle. Had a lot of games and I honestly think it's reached the point that people are "haloed out". But that's just my thoughts.

Halo 3 was a great conclusion, but then they HAD to keep chugging along. And now they're changing so many things gameplay wise that it makes you wonder why they didn't just start a new franchise.

Is anyone else wanting another ODST like game? Yeah it was a series of side-stories but I really liked the unit, the audio logs, and the atmosphere; very Film Noire and the fact that the city computer is watching your every movement is downright creepy.

ODST was great. I still liked Halo 2 the most, but ODST was very unique. The characters were interesting, the semi open world aspect was fun and nice change of pace for the halo games.
The soundtrack was phenominal as well. I would love to see another type of spin off game, maybe even a Covenant focused one.

I wish Reach was on pc. My favourite of them all. If I could play it through alternative means, I would be happy.
