Nathan Fillion returns as Buck from ODST in Halo 5 Guardians.

Fair enough, though 343 threads generally say otherwise, especially among many of the more hardcore and long-term fans. For the most part, the people who think New Blood is good are the same people who think Sarah Palmer was a good character. I have a lot of issues with the how the story was presented in its entirety, and I can dig up an old post I made on the 343 forum about it if you like.
That's not true either don't assume you know everything about what each fan likes, plenty of long time halo fans liked new blood even on the halo waypoint forums. This is a review from a long time halo fan.
bow to your god HALO!

That is fairly true. I'm sorry (in the sardonic sense, so not really sorry, especially considering your attitude) that you seem to think my own experiences and knowledge of the forums over there contradict what you've heard, and that it makes you feel bad enough to challenge me in a... stand-off manner.
I can give you my own, decidedly much more negative review from as a longtime Halo fan with extensive knowledge of the plot and lore.
As far as acceptance goes, it has a pretty stark contrast and divide on how people like it. It has a very love-it-or-hate-it rating.
Means no split online community.
Well, technically not, but I mean it in a way that supports what you're saying.
There never was a split online community (sans DLC specific playlists), but what DID happen was that you were always dragged down by the the people who didn't have the maps. Wanted to do BTB on the latest DLC map? Hope all 16 people in the lobby have the DLC!
I spent about $30 USD on the DLC for Halo 4, and I only played maybe 3 games on them (over a period of 2-3 years), because nobody had the maps, and there was no dedicated playlist for the DLC maps.

By adding maps for free over a while will also ensure the player population stays up too. People will keep coming back for new content, especially when its free. As long as there is a good competitive ranking system that works at launch, this game should be able to maintain its population for a long time (unlike Halo 4 and MCC)

There's nothing wrong with not liking it and I had no intention of saying your the only one who didn't like since its certain that there are people who share a similar view on it. I just wanted to pointed out that there a plenty of hardcore fans who liked it nothing more.
By the by: if anyone's up for Halo MP sometime, message me.
Anyone here who plays Halo MCC often, add me, Impulse Melan.
I'll add you, I've been playing alot of Halo this month
GT = RZIBARA

I still haven't cracked open my copy (I got the day 1 edition too). So a lot are playing MP then? Is it just Halo 1 MP?
I'm up for whatever really. I do BTB or Team Objective most of the time. Just straight out killing gets old. Well, not old, but I prefer to hunt players when their attention isn't on me.
Nathan Fillion returns as Buck from ODST in Halo 5 Guardians.
Awesome! But I kind of liked him when he was an ODST.
I like this OST:
It's a good OST.

Add me if you want. Don't know when I'll get around to it though. GT: StrayKAT

He's what, a Spartan IV now?
He's what, a Spartan IV now?
Yes.
Anyway, I want to see if a map based off of face classic from UT2004 can be recreated on Halo MCC.
Yes.
Well, he won't forget his ODST days. I hope they bring it up. Matter of fact he should;assuming he runs into Chief he's gonna have to mention how the events of Halo 2 led to his battles on the ground in New Mombasa.
Just some Halo 5 Beta gameplay I recorded, thought I'd share it
(ignore the obvious clickbaity title, I wanted views
)
Looks quite nice, wish I had an Xbone.
Victory cutscenes, that's new.
A lot of it is. In some ways, I don't like it, but at the same time, I can see how some of the changes make sense.
Shifting technology and growth, though I wish the Spartans would shut up if you had a voice chat going. It's presented in more of a Halo 4 manner, which might be somewhat annoying.
I heard a rumor that the next Call of Duty after the one released this November (BO3) will have you fighting aliens.
In Halo 5 you'll be able to toggle the in-game callouts of the Spartans on or off.

Well be happy, you can turn spartan chatter on and off in the full game (confirmed), and victory dances are being toned down as well.
Also, kill cams are not the default when you die anymore either. Death cam is default now, kill cam can be viewed by pressing X
I've read somewhere that for now on ALL future Halo games are coming out with a beta since MCC's launch was a pure disaster. That's good news, in my opinion anyway. Also, they added skill rankings to several playlists in the MCC as well and 343 is working on fixing the Halo CE bug.
I hope they continue to support MCC even after Guardians. The game needs to be worked on some more, but it's getting there. Fasten the matchmaking times and hopefully add separate playlists, both ranked and social, somewhat like what Halo 3 has. They also need to add a freaking action sack playlist.
Also, can you hold 16 man customs in MCC without it failing? I wonder...

I'd say its worth trying. Also, yes that beta statement is true. Bonnie Ross said that in the gameinformer article yesterday (MCC blunder interview)
