Am I the only one here who likes the Recruit armor?

h5-mp-beta-orion-coming-in-hot-730583d62

I think it looks pretty good in Halo 5. Assuming I don't get Mark V or Mark VI I might wear it...

Sans Buck, Fireteam Shadow, and Fireteam Crimson, they aren't worthy of the title of Spartans.

And in Crimson's case, my character is (headcanon) a former Spartan III from Gamma Company, and was one of the Spartan trainees removed from the company for his strategic utility being too high to be wasted on a suicide mission, ala the Spartan III's of Noble Team.

I like Spartan IVs just as much as I like the other two classes, but the problem isn't the Spartan IV it'self, it's the people. That's why I'm happy about fireteam Osiris and Locke, since I'm hoping they can make the Spartan IVs look great.

In defense of the S-IV's only people with service records like Buck's would only be considered to be S-IV's and we've only seen a one or two dozen S-IV's out of a possible 500-700 of them in existence. My issue's with them is to do with their portrayal since concept of S-IV's actually rather sound but we've yet to see a good portrayal of the S-IV's in general, hopefully that will be the case in H5:G.

With that in mind its quite obvious and acknowledge in the lore that on an individual level S-II and some S-III's are far superior than S-IV's due to their training, augmentations and indoctrination. The S-IV's make up for these with bigger numbers and better armor than the previous generations.

I agree with this to an extent, though I question how the Spartans come up with members of some of their units.

There are a few Spartan IV's who had previous careers in non-combat or support branches of the military, and many of them are quite green and junior servicemen upon induction. As you say, I'd chalk this up to portrayal more than concept. And it does show. Look at Palmer. Prior to Spartan initiation, she's a junior-enlisted Marine, an ODST who, while having a strong record of service, isn't particularly a standout amongst others. She is assigned as a Spartan Commander, and is already a 'legendary' figure up with the likes of the Master Chief as of 2555. Which, I find to be pretty odd and disingenuous.

Then again, Spartan Commander is more of a title than an actual rank.

There are, by 2558, at least several thousand Spartans. It's a rapidly growing branch, and they strive to be sufficient in every aspect as much as possible.

A highlight from a match played a couple days ago. Killtrocity baby.

If anyone wants to play MCC, we have a decent BSN crew going.

Me, my cousin (not on BSN), God and Melan have been doing some matches. Add us if you want to join the fight

Has anyone checked out the Hunt the Truth bits and seen the other information that they're preparing for E3? From what I understand, it's going to focus on the new Co-op multiplayer facet of the game.

Hunt the Truth on the other hand shows that ONI are quite literally gods. They utterly destroy Ben, with his last two episodes. Petra ends up taking over the whole series.

Two solid red hunters, does that imply what I think it implies or are they just AI?

More like Battlefront (in fact probably more like battlefront than the actual new battlefront)

12v12 human players, with AI covies/prometheans assisting each side

An explanation for warzones.

The AI seem to be neutral to the player teams and can simply be defeated to earn points towards your team's 1000 point target.

Did you play the beta? It's not as bad as you think. It works well, and hip firing is effective as ever.

I played the beta and thought it was better than both 4 and Reach

Yeah, I played it. It was good. I don't like Smartscope. It doesn't belong in HALO but that's just me. I think it was better than 4, but not better than Reach and surely not on 3 or glorious 2's level. But it was very good. The game will be good.
