I'm going to play through the campaigns of Anniversary, 3, ODST, and 4, but not going to bother with MP right now.

Better story, a little more Halo like in the gameplay, but the delivery of that story was great

Since you've played Titanfall recently, ODST is a good starting point to get back into the groove, it's kind of like a middle ground come to think of it.

I'd say so. Playing an ODST is different to playing a Spartan II.

So, er... this is going to be an actual thing in the Master Chief collection.

 

 

And Coagulation will be the next remastered Halo 2 map.

Some new info on the MCC from RTX:

 

- Silenced SMG, Assault Rifle, Speed Boost power up, and the GunGoose (shown above) are all being added to the REMASTERED version of Halo 2 MP

- All 6 remastered maps will feature some sort of dynamic element (Ascension features switches that can turn on a large bubble shield in the center of the map)

- Coagualation and Ascenstion confirmed (Zanzibar and Lockout previously hinted at, Midship as well)

- All original campaign skulls in Halo 2 return in original locations, as well as several new ones added in as well (totalling 30 skulls in Halo 2 alone)

- Original menu music for each game will play in each game's menu

- Universal control schemes are available

- Terminals are added to Halo 2, will cover the background of the Arbiter, and will have hints about Halo 5

- There will online playlists that are for each game specifically, as well as cross game playlists

Under normal circumstances I don't like fps's but there is just something about the Halo franchise that keeps me coming back for more.

I'm really looking forward to the Halo Master chief collection, I never got around to finishing the first Halo game even though I loved it and I have never ever played Halo 2.

I did not realise that the Master chief collection also included a digital download of the Halo Nightfall series, that's a pretty sweet deal right there, so much content in the box at such a low price.

Also includes the Halo 5 beta. And you're in for a treat. Halo 2 has the best story in the series to date, and both the campaign and MP were at their best

You know, I'd love  to see the Insurrectionists getting a bigger role in the next sequel, creating their own SPARTANs and fight both UNSC and the Covenant Empire. They are the closest faction to the USSR-PRChina-Cuba, it would be like Cold War in space. It's good to get both sides of the story, and you will notice that the Insurrection movements happened due to the lack of influence on society, and the lack of individual rights.
