The Arbiter is presumably talking to Locke in that trailer for the Halo 2 Anniversary Terminals so I think it's safe to say that given the monologue, Locke and The Master Chief are not only acquainted but know each other on a friendship level.

It better be good, I wasn't a big fan of FUD. 

 

Ridley Scott is good though, I mean, he did Black Hawk Down, so I think its in good hands. Plus at least the main characters aren't lanky kids in strange armour. These guys look badass in the marine armour

For a Hollywood production 10 million won't go very far unless you are very clever and creative. Forward Unto Dawn had a similar budget and I enjoyed it but when Ridley Scott's name became attached to Nightfall I started fantasising about about visuals to match Prometheus, the size and scope of Gladiator and Blade Runner style set designs and now those dreams have been shattered.

True. I blame Ridley Scott's name and Microsofts deep pockets, common sense told me not to expect to much but that little 10 year old boy deep inside of me wanted amazing stuff to happen.
