I'm conflicted.

 

I've already shelled out for a PS4 (And don't really want to spend that kind of money again anytime soon, I'm on a budget) and i don't regret that, but on the other hand this is Halo, one of my earliest games and my first shooter.  The Master Chief Collection looks amazing.  On the hideous mutant third hand growing from my hip, as a rule I don't make console buying decisions based on a single game (Yes, I know this is technically 4) and its really the only Xbox One exclusive that appeals to me.

 

*heavy sigh*   Maybe when the price goes down...

I am one of the happiest people alive right now. I almost bought a PS4 but ultimately chose the Xbox One, back in December last year.

 

I'll tell you though, if I had bought the PS4 back in December, I would have sold it for an Xbox One the minute they announced the MCC. That's how much I love the old Halo games (ESPECIALLY Halo 2)

If it helps, you're not alone. I haven't bought a PS4, but my indecision is pretty much entirely due to being an old school Halo fan. These trailers (and my memories playing Halo as a thirteen year old) have me leaning very heavily towards the Xbox One though. Even if this means no Blood Borne.

The Xbox One is a solid choice. I've done loads of things on it since launch, everything from working out with Xbox Fitness(matter of fact I killed a Mossa Power Workout 1 earlier), to watching the Global Goblet(World Cup eeey), to posting on the BSN, to watching Blu-Rays, to listening to music, to of course, playing games. And following Sony's lead they've got Games with Gold now so every month new free games open up for download.

 

For the month of August on Xbox One we're getting Crimson Dragon and Strike Suit Zero for free, so that is $40 we don't have to spend if we don't already own the games. I'm up for that. You need a Gold membership to keep the games, but $60 a year is better than spending effectively hundreds if all these games were full price.

 

Then with the Master Chief Collection, we're getting four games on the X1 that weren't there previously, Halos 1, 2, 3, and 4. Two of those titles were from the generation of gaming two generations ago. The latter two from the one that just passed us. They're getting updated, the first two with upgraded visuals and audio, all four of them upgraded to 1080p at 60fps. Every multiplayer map those four games had will be available for MP on the One. Along with that we get access to a MP Beta for Halo 5 and a free download of all episodes of Halo: Nightfall as they come.

 

For $60.

 

HELL. YES.

I'm starting to nope the f**k out, I did a search for XBone prices after watching the Halo 2 Anniversary trailer and ever since I have been consistently getting PS4 ads on youtube.
