No idea why ppl hate her an tbh dont rightly care either, im no a fan of Garrus yet i dont feel the need to fill boards with words of hate to him.

I'll say one thing though, everyone in the ME trilogy could have been killed, the devs should have giving that option to happen to Liara aswell well before the beam run

That means what exactly? Because she is doesn't automatically mean she knows anything about communications

If you want to believe that someone who can command the largest intelligence network in the galaxy has no clue about communications: good for you.

And can someone please explain to me what the *BLEEP* is wrong with having Shepard's armor on display? I, for the life of me, cannot understand what's so wrong with that. It's not even creepy.

Creepy is having your dead relative embalmed and on display in your living room. This is just affection and remembrance.

And how many people do you know that has taken armor from a dead body and displayed it in their residence? Would you do that? Would you have a problem if instead it wasn't Liara, but it was Jacob who had Shepard's armor on display? You wouldn't want to ask the individual why they have it?

The whole Virmire decision being placed on Thessia doesn't really make much sense to me, because there's no good reason for the squad to separate, not to mention that it doesn't really make sense to force both the VS and Liara to go on this mission. It would be extremely annoying to drag on the VS's mistrust of Shepard on account of Cerberus for the *entire* game. Like great, when will this sh*t end, Ashley/Kaidan?

I'm willing to bet that the VS would be the more popular character to kill off as a result.

Taking someone's armor off of their dead body and having it as a trophy is creepy. It would be like me finding my girlfriend dead on the ground, and stripping her naked. That's literally what she did.

If she wanted affection and remembrance, she already had Shepard' dog tags. Not to mention, there's this little thing called a photograph. Or is it holos in these worlds?

Yeah, none of us know the full details about the mission. For all we know the VS goes along regardless of squadmate choice on their own like with the STG on Virmire. We don't have proper context, (though what I do know seems a helluva lot more dramatic and engaging; a theme consistent with the original script imo).

You must think museums are really creepy then.

Liara taking armor from a dead body doesn't make her good or bad at comms, it just makes her obsessed to the point where there's good reason to believe the reason Ashley/Kaidan distrusts Shepard in the third game is because Liara deliberately fed them bad intel so she could have Shepard all to herself. After all, she did it with Tali, if you romance Liara, and dump her for Tali.

Liara gives Ash/Kaidan bad intel? When is this?

I already explained why that isn't the case, couple of pages back. The chance of Liara taking armor directly off Shepard's corpse is pretty much nonexistent.

Really? And what would you think if someone had your armor in their apartment on display? Wouldn't you at least ask that individual how he/she acquired the armor? Unfortuately we don't get to ask that question. I will go with she took it off the body.

Headcanon it away then. If it helps you sleep easier at night...

And no, if that individual was responsible for me coming back to live, I don't care what they did with my armor. Unlike certain people, I'd be grateful to them.

I sleep fine at night. Just ask my lady friend. How about you?

What prove do you have that she didn't take the armor off the body? You don't know just like I don't know she did. But seeing the armor on display without asking her how she acquired it, I will say she took it off the body.

She wasn't responsible for bringing you back to life. All she did was hand your body over to Cerberus who brought Shepard back to life. And had she not given my body to Cerberus, I'm sure Cerberus would've got the body themselves

As I asked in another post, how many people do you know that have someone's armor on display?

Coulda, shoulda, woulda.

They didn't.

None. But if I did, I wouldn't judge them.

I did and she told me you weren't man/woman enough for her.

That still doesn't prove she didn't take the armor off the body. Why wasn't I able to ask her how she acquired the armor?

So if I had your armor on display you wouldn't have a problem with that? You wouldn't even ask why?

Bruce Wayne's got a thing for displaying armor in his arsenal, too.

That wasn't the question.   :P

Personally, I think Liara probably obtained the armor fragment after Cerberus initially examined the body.

She's turned from a timid archaeologist nerd type into info-trader / mind-flayer / super-model. Her breasts grow two sizes and her face changes shape, all within 2 years in-universe.

As such, she's the avatar of the change in direction between Mass Effect 1 and 2 / 3.

Pictorial evidence:

liara_t__soni_comparsion_by_comicsleo-d5

See, I have this little theory. Between the events of the first and second game, everything that's gone on made Liara change a great deal. The picture above shows that, as well as the increase of her... attributes.

I posit that Liara may well be the youngest matron in existence. And if not yet, very damn near. If she isn't one by the events of LotSB, then she is certainly in her matron stage by the end of the third game.

Aethyta mentions that asari grow bigger as they age. Benezia did, Liara will too(my Shepard is very happy about it :D ). You know, child of her mother. In fact... she already did.

So yeah, I pose that Liara is the youngest matron ever. Or will be very soon. Sure, this is firmly in the realms of headcanon, but somewhat supported by the evidence in game.
