I don't even bother positioning her. I just press left shift every 2 seconds and have her drop another singularity. Using this 'strategy' together with James, James died twice. Liara left the mission unscathed. (that mission in which you have to steal Prothean tech from Cerberus. Yes, did it without shield stripping skills, cause I'm cool like that ).

James dying twice was probably because he figured he was a tank. Not the class type, but the real, armored type. I saw him running directly into a Cerberus turret. This means he's completely useless and weak, right?

To be honest I never bother to position my squadmates in ME3, at all. Unlike ME2 where I do it a lot, especially at the earlier levels.

Left shift key is the master race equivalent of the power wheel.

You also need to factor in the morale boost of having her on the squad. Shepard fights 50% harder when she graces the battlefield with her presence.

I hate, hate, hate The One Button Does It All Action Key phenomenon. But I'm old. I had games where you had to reference a keyboard diagram that came in the box telling you which keys do which little odd thing. Of course, that was cumbersome and screams for streamlining.

However, when I'm playing and I'm pressing spacebar because I NEED to run away before I get slaughtered, and instead I keep going in and out of cover because cover and run are the same, and then I get killed...

I suppose BioWare listened to it's fans. Next game will be a sequel, Shepard is alive.. but he's not the protagonist. The Protagonist is the little blue lovechild of Shep and Liara.

I ask with some reluctance because I feel like default Femshep got hit with the squirrel stick in ME3 (I vastly prefer my almost-identical-but-with-a-much-better-face Shepard), but they still might be cute.

Liara is my favorite character, but the kid in those pictures is kind of creepy.

 

But then I'm not the intended audience anyway. Whether we are talking about Liara, or Miranda, or Tali, or whomever...I never quite understood the fixation some fans have with the possibility (or lack thereof) of popping out Shepardspawn.
