I doubt he's still in Tevinter since the circle is done and the mages are at war. Also, why the hell did Eamon send his son to a Tevinter circle? Doesn't he want his son to control his magic? Not become a Magister.

It was said in one of the DA:O epilogues that Connor was an extremely talented mage who excelled at the Fereldan circle, and under Eamon's urging, transfered to Tevinter to study Fade stuff.
“Connor was sent off to study at the Circle, and considering his earlier experiences, he excelled in his training and easily passed the Harrowing to become a full mage. At his father's urging, Connor accepted a position in Tevinter to undertake formal study of the Fade.”

Why don't they just make a new Earl for crying out loud? Make Lloyd, Bella or Murdock Earl, anyone. These guys don't learn.
A. It's 'Arl.'
B. Even assuming they kill off all Guerrins, which I doubt, these individuals have difficulties as well:
Lloyd - potentially killed in battle or killed by warden
Bella - potentially sent to Denerim
Murdock - character potentially killed in battle, voice actor actually dead in RL (rip, Robin Sachs).
And of course, there's also the possibility that you just left the town to its fate and almost everyone died. (Teagan still lives I think - I've never actually taken this course of action so not too clear on the details.)

Oh, ok. That makes sense then. We'll I wonder how demon Connor will behave now since he is a fade expert.
