With ME tech as advanced as it is, living underwater would actually be pretty easy. Mass effect fields and efficient power sources are pretty abundant. It would just have to be on a world outside of the relay network with no colonies, in which case you're better off finding a planet which has an environment that is largely unsuitable for life on the surface, and is possibly also a poor prospect for mining, though the latter is not likely if it's a terrestrial world with ocean cover.

A space station ala Cronos Station would also be ideal, but that would require years of pre-planning. It's able to move, and it hangs in orbit around a massive star, close enough to the star, and remote enough from anything else that you aren't going to find it unless you know what you're looking for and where to look for it.

An asteroid base might also work, especially if it's built inside the asteroid.

We don't fully know the means the Reapers have to detect the various emissions a colony can put off. For example, we don't know how the Collectors could see through the Normandy's stealth system. The best answer I can come up with is that they could detect the ship's mass effect field; it's "gravitic ripple" if you will - if this is the case, they'd be able to detect any active mass effect field since it would stand out as artificial. This is bound to throw a wrench in things, given that so much of the MEU's tech depends on eezo.

Heck, they were able to find the Rachni Queen underground on a barren ball of dirt with no technology because they could somehow trace her "song."

I like the sound of an asteroid base.

Hide in the Geth Consensus?

That wouldn't work. All you'd have to do is hack the server or physically destroy it.

Ok...hmmm....taking the omega four relay with the reaper iff to the galatic core on the accretion disk of a black hole?

... Where the Reapers already set up an advanced base once? Yeah, that's not going to hide anything at all.

Better hope you left the Collector base intact and it isn't infused with indoctrination tech. The levels of radiation in the vicinity of a black hole would be beyond lethal to a human being.

You'd have to be capable of feeding yourself and arm the hell out of the place - enough to kill anything approaching via the relay. It wouldn't be hidden; it'd have to be made into a stronghold.

And the Reapers most certainly wouldn't think to look just behind one of their relays...

Yeah, as I said, it wouldn't be hidden - it'd be a stronghold; I doubt even it could stand.

Besides, all the Reapers would have to do if you holed up there is switch off the Omega-4 relay so you could never come back, and you're f***ed.

How about building a deep underground base on the planet Eletania? An when the reapers are gone I'll live train all the pyjaks to become my servants.

A stronghold against a Reaper...

I'd wager that a single Reaper would plow through any and all defenses in minutes.

I'll be in a stasis pod for a designated time. When the reapers leave I'll restock on oxygen tanks an leave the planet.

How is said stasis pod going to open itself? Why do you need to stock up on oxygen tanks on a planet you plan on leaving? How are you going to leave said planet? Where are you going to get oxygen tanks? Why do you even have oxygen tanks?

How about hiding in a derelict reaper?

If it was anyone else, I'd imagine this was a joke. For you, I'm not sure whether it is or not.

This isn't really relevant to the discussion at all, but I just can't help myself right now.

I already posted before , but I have another option.

I would carry a case of beer to my local movie theater and watch the movie The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and if I'm still alive, put in the movie Full Metal Jacket.

Lol. They're all jokes. Seriously, How would one hide from the reapers? I cant really imagine surviving a reaper attack. There would be nothing left after they're destruction. The way I see it we die if we fight or hide either way. Human life expectancy isn't long and there's no telling how long it'll take the reapers to wipe us all out. An for those who would hide and survive, what would you be doing it for? Surviving just to survive is pointless when in the end you die regardless.

People have come up with some pretty good ideas. I like the nondescript space station idea - only problem is planning, size, and maintaining a suitable population to sustain a species.

I still think going off the relay network is the best bet. 400 billion stars, the relay network only covers a tiny fraction, and primary relays are separated by an average of several thousand light years of uncharted space. It's easy to get lost. Even Liara brings this up to Shepard as a suitable alternative to fighting.

But the problem is the logistics. It would require a massive fleet with liveships, and it would require finding a habitable world fairly quickly.

It makes me think the Virtual Aliens had a pretty good thing going. Upload up your consciousnesses, abandon organic bodies, take a single ship and go into the middle of f'ing nowhere. There's no way the Reapers could comb over every star system AND interstellar space. You'd be golden, except for the whole disembodiment thing.

That's life. That's always been life. Survival for the sake of survival, and the pointlessness of it because we all clock out at night. Why do you think the Reapers existence changes that?

Or you could do the whole Mote In God's Eye - Crazy Eddie Probe thing.
