I wasn't particularly interested in the Deluxe edition, but after being screwed over with the Inquiitor's Edition, I decided I would set my sights on the deluxe edition. But now, the more I think about it, the more I feel the extra 10$/€ asked is a ripoff.
For 10$/€ more, you just get a bunch of worthless digital items, that yeah, will maybe look interesting for a while and have some usefulness, but when you compare to Bioware's other special or collector's editions, you really see the content for what it's worth, and that worth is not 10$.
Dragon Age 2 signature's edition cost the same as the standard edition and had DLC content, an entire playable character and sidequest associated with, and the Black Emporium among other digital items. Looking at Mass Effect 3's Collector's edition, for 20$/€ more, you had a major DLC character and quests associated which alone is worth 10$ (I think that was the price for people who didn't buy the collector's edition). But then you also had a butt load of physical items and another buttload of digital items to justify the last 10$.
In DAI Deluxe edition, you basically get a bunch of what would have been pre-order bonuses at different retailers, no physical extras, and... and... that's it.... ![]()
How is that worth 10 extra $/€? You know what, Bioware and EA didn't want to make the collector's edition available for me. Fine. But the next best thing isn't the Deluxe edition, which is a blatant rip-off, but just the standard edition of the game. I see people crying over not getting to order a PC Deluxe edition. Honestly, I feel they're better off, but I guess that's just my opinion.
