Cullen of course is the easy choice, as soon as they announced him as a romance optionI was like *BAM* him!  No questions asked.

Buuuuuuut other than Cullen, Iron Bull looks like he could be interesting, I'm hoping they let me romance him with my future elf.

Really wanted Sera for a male inquisitor but obviously can't happen now. Failing that Leliana is the only other character to grab my attention. Couldn't help but feel like I would just be an accessory to Viv, kind of like a fashion statement. Oh and my first inquisitor will be around my age so I can't help but feel the age gap between Cassandra and that inquisitor will be a bit much.

Vivienne is just not my type. It is sad but I may have to break the tradition of my  character in Dragon Age games romancing mages. My Warden romanced Morrigan. My Hawke romanced Merrill. 

 

But Vivienne is just not my type of woman. Too blatantly outlandish which would mean she must be impractical and irrational as well.

If all works out how I want:

 

First play through will be a human male with Cassandra

 

Second play through elf male with Dorian

 

Third play through female dwarf with Varric

I think you are confusing rational type of personalities with personal hobbies or ways of dressing on different cultures. Rationality and practical thinking does not mean you cannot enjoy fashion and well organize systems and traditional ways. Actually I would say Merril is a more irrational person for example, her whole quest is base on her emotional connection to people of her past and heritage.

I just find your reasoning strange that is it, it is ok not to like certain characters but Vivienne is not irrational, I mean her name is "the Lady of Iron" for some reason.
