I love that question mark besides Meredith. I think if she was to be replaced by human stupidity, DA2 might get some votes.
Which Antagonist was Bioware's best? (Games Played Question and Awakening options added... Also, Catalyst)

I thought it's a scientific fact that NWN's antagonist is the best!
Well, it turns out you were wrong. Wrong like Donkey Bong.

I honestly had no idea what to put for DA2. Eventually I just put her because she was the final boss.I love that question mark besides Meredith. I think if she was to be replaced by human stupidity, DA2 might get some votes.
If I made it "Arishock", I imagine DA2 would get more votes.

Li from Jade Empire (probably BioWare's most underrated game in general).

Agreed. The Arishok was ten times the antagonist that Meredith was.

I voted Sun Li. I played Jade Empire for the first time 1-2 years ago and liked it a lot. The Glorious Strategist was definitely one of the more interesting antagonists I've encountered in Bioware games. He has a clear goal, understandable motives for it and a rather flawless plan to achieve it. He also has a well established personal connection to the player character, which raises the emotional stakes. Well done, Bioware!
Now where's this Jade Empire sequel...?! ![]()

Out of the games I've played, and for the sake of the poll, I say Loghain.
However, I feel Tela Vasir, for the short amount of time she was in LotSB, was pretty much a perfect antagonist.

Honest to god, its Bioware's most underrated game. Apparently there was a move for a sequel, but they discontinued it because the story ideas were incoherent or something.

I decided to add the Arishok and Sovereign to the poll, because they deserve it.

I liked Saren, but he seemed more like Anderson's antagonist than Shepard's (especially if you read the book leading up to ME's release). It felt like I was taking out Anderson's trash. ME's antagonists were the Rachni Queen/Benezia, the Thorian, and Sovereign. Saren was just a really badass bounty.

I still have not played jade empire so I can't comment on that one but jon Irenicus easily blows all the others out of the water in my opinion.

You should definitely give it a whirl. It's pretty easy to find for cheap on the XBOX at used game stores and pawn shops, and it goes on sale fairly regularly on Steam, I believe (currently 50% off, $7.50).

Although, to be fair... knowing that Li is the antsgonist takes a bit of thrill out of his awesomeness.

For some reason, I never trusted Sun Li from the very beginning, but I didn't expect him to be the antagonist.
And that twist about Death's Hand... Did not expect that, either.

For me, it was a real treat to play through the second time and notice all the little hints I hadn't noticed the first time.

Meredith. Only because I like her voice and she's a good looking character>Harbinger>Loghain>Sovereign>TIM>Saren>Malak. The other ones I don't know about.

Tough choice between Loghain and Sarevok for me.
Sarevok doesn't have the same level of interaction as Loghain and you don't even meet him until the end but it's everything you learn about him over the course of the game that, for me, makes him one of Bioware's best villains. He's the opposite of you (or he could even be on the same path as you if you're role-playing an evil character) cursed with the same fate. His quest to achieve domination is memorable for me as he sets up a company to gain political influence in Baldur's Gate and for me, bringing down this establishment and then fighting him at the end is very satisfactory.
Then he pops up in the sequel as a companion leading to further character development.
I'm not saying Sarevok is Bioware's best villain but he's my favorite. Loghain follows but he's arguably ambiguous as a villain. I see him more as neutral and a deluded patriot with the belief that he could save Fereldan by himself, the beauty here is that he can redeem himself in the end just like Sarevok.
And SCREW YOU Orian Tabris, Maugrim was ****** wicked.

I love how you can encounter him Hordes of the Underdark in the hell of Cania too and get the chance to kill him all over again.

It strikes me that this is what Bioware was trying to do with Saren... Just not very well.
