Allows it to heal. Like let say every enemy slayed gives you 5% health back. You know like Death Syphon did. But without the mana regen did. Or maybe a small combat health regeneration?  Or maybe both. Maybe a +1 Combat health regeneration and each slay enemy restores 5% of health.

Wouldn't that make the reaver self sustainable?

Aura of pain takes 5% of health away per 4 second pulse. So in 12 seconds you lose 15% of health. So unless you kill the enemies in 4 seconds you are not self sustainable.

That's the way the class is meant to be played. You damage yourself and get more powerful the more damage you take. It isn't about healing yourself, its pure damage. I like it that way, provides some cool differentiation.

I like my characters to be self sufficient.

It doesn't fit the reaver spec though.

I suppose that's possible - even Kolgrim attacked with two mages in support.

As long as some specs can be self sufficient, I suppose they don't all have to be.

how does it not fit? Dead enemies heals you and consumes the corpse. Reavers are said to consumers of life.

Perfect. Consume the soul to heal. And how is Death Syphon cannibalism? You drain life left in the body. Not the blood. Otherwise it would have been a form of blood magic.

I like this idea, I tend to avoid Reavers because I hate wasting health and I can never use it right imo

But if Reavers got a passive or constant ability that let them siphon health from defeated enemies, I definitely mess with it more
