This is a similar thread to the one I posted in the Dragon Age forums. Basically, it's dedicated to those characters, minor or major, that you thoroughly enjoy to rub out. This is my pick for today.

"Lord" Darius

20100831152105!Lord_Darius.png

I just finished UNC: The Negotiation for the first time, and I was surprised by how irritating his character was. It's even more irritating if you take this mission with FemShep, as he will comment on how sending a woman to negotiate concessions indicates the Alliance failing to take him seriously (more irritating still since he also questions the validity of your accolades if you have the War Hero background). It's hard to get through the majority of his dialogue without introducing him and his crew to the business end of my HMWSG. There's just no way a character like this can be allowed to slither around the traverse.

Rear Admiral Mikhailovich is a major a**! I just wanted to sock him right across the Jaw! I always go full renegade on him 'cause I hate his guts and his xenophobic attitude. And then he commented on "a krogan," and then I wished that there was an interrupt to shotgun him right then and there. "Hurt me? I hardly felt a thing."

I barely talked to him. I was looking forward to it too, because it's been a long time since I've played it. But... I picked the wrong dialogue right at the beginning, and I had to kill him.

Great topic. My pick is this guy for obvious reasons. Should have been able to renegade beat him up.

I allowed him on the ship once, curious to see the content and to fast-track my XP, but normally, I tell that gasbag to get lost. If it's any consolation, he does die during the battle of the Citadel, albeit at the cost of the fleet he commands.

It never occurred to me to save this quest for later until I have Tali in the group. Man, he's an even bigger jerk lol

I always did without Tali, but on my recent playthroughs, I brought Tali with me instead. I thought if brought Samara, she would kill the C-sec guy! Here's hoping! :crying:

Lord Darius is fantastic, honestly. Hear him out, solve it the Paragon way.

Yeah, he really is. That's why I wanted to punch him.

I almost always do this quest too early. Sometimes I intend to save it for later, but I click on them anyway as I round the corner, Lol. Bio has me well trained. I hope the keyboard shortcuts don't change too much in the next game.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I think he's a great character. It's just that I find him great because I derive a great deal of satisfaction in despising him. As for solving it the paragon way, it's just not fitting for my Shepard. Like, pay him, thereby funding his red sand operation? Fool needed an ass full of tungsten.

Lol ...sorry, just meant commands. I haven't got any shortcuts. I don't even use the quick-keys. I always left-shift then click, even after all the times it doesn't register my mouse-clicks... I still do it. I dunno why.  <_<

I put powers in a prioritized order, but 1-3 are my main arsenal since 1 is mapped to Q, and 3 is mapped to E. I do this just to make it easier for me and to make it familiar to how I play it on PS3.

1. Warp

2. Tech Armor

3. Overload

4. Throw

5. Armor-Piercing Ammo

6. Fortification

7. Medi-Gel(To match up with my ME3 keybind)

8. Cryo Blast

Yep, I do the same thing... most of the time... I just never use 'em.  I guess I'm too much of a real-time-with-pause kinda gamer.

Yep, Medi-gel is mapped to a secondary button which is my scroll or mouse wheel. All I do is click it and I medi-gel.

The last two runs I didn't kill him (well, it took me some reloads  ) just to hear Hackets confusion afterwards.

-Manipulating bosh'tet, If you want me to kill someone just tell me!

Well, I guess I can understand why he doesn't just spell it out explicitly, but it's kind of funny how he's basically betting on Shepard's lack of patience doing the dirty work for him, which in my case, he bet correctly. I like Hackett's long pause if you choose the lowest option about his dirty secret.

Rear Admiral Mikhailovich due to racist behavior and giving me his hateful rantings. I don't mind Ashley rantings at least she does it in more of a realist type of way. She turns out to be right about about them looking out for their own kind. But he was just being racist for the sake of it plus screw him. So what if I brought my friends on board to hell with him, then he has, the nerve to insult my Ship. I wonted to tell him this ship is Turian built along an human engineering team so don't insult my ship and go to hell.

He knew about the turians' involvement with its construction, because he calls it a "co-developed boondoggle", so he just thinks that the collaborative effort with the turians was a waste of time. I suppose he would've felt vindicated when the SR1 is destroyed, but he always dies in my playthrough, so he doesn't get the satisfaction :P

...a great character that I loved to hate (especially in ME1). Unfortunately, his plan in ME3 was stupid.

I don't believe mikhailovich can die, he's just absent if you save the council.

Blah he can still go to hell no one not even the Admiral can insult my ship. He's just lucky, I didn't get the option to smack him :P So unlike Loghain, whom I bloodily killed because he fucked with my Alastair he just got the go to hell..

Pointing a gun at shielded, armoured and possibly biotic N7 marines/spectres must have really been the smartest move of his life... :pinched:
