Pointing a gun at shielded, armoured and possibly biotic N7 marines/spectres must have really been the smartest move of his life...

 

Admittedly, I prefer to let this goofball live, but metagaming is kind of a big part of the reason, since he has a rather high requirement to get him to survive (I intimidate him) and he's an asset in ME3. In general though, everyone that works for ExoGeni is really annoying. I always end up killing those people on Nodacrux because my Shepard cannot be bribed.

 

His death is so pathetic it's funny though. Just feebly pointing his pistol at three heavily armed and armored people. I love how the ExoGeni guards quickly stand down too.

I played through the trilogy four times already and I haven't managed to convince him a single time to put the gun down. Usually, I do Feros before Noveria, so my skill isn't high enough.

 

Will try it the other way around this time, since I'm interested to see how he figures into assets in ME3.

I'm pretty sure you need over 10 charm or intimidate to convince him. I like how you get 25 renegade points for playing the license-to-kill Spectre card.

I kind of laughed that he had the balls too pull a gun at Shepard and company in the first place.

She irked me too. I felt sorry for her after learning her story, but I thought I didn't need all that ****. Same for Khalisah. They're characters I don't really hate, but I always go renegade with.

Don't feel bad. The only time I'm able to get him to stand down is in a new game plus because of the high persuasion requirement.

He redeemed himself a little in ME3 for me, being the only one willing to at least listen to the crucible plan.

It's not bad, it's just more "I feel for you but I've got my own **** to deal with and don't need to be harassed" than paragon.
