Someone please tell me how this whole "Morrigan waiting til the end" thing is all the bad. Are you seriously telling me that if this person came up to you shortly after you started traveling together and said " oh by the way, you will need to sleep with me(or alistair) before we fight the arch demon, and I will have your baby(or alistair), or you will die" , that would not completely freak you out? You would trust that more than a friend or lover coming to you?

Flemeth is too close to Fade spirits for me to like. So, Morrigan.

How so? I'm genuinely curious. Fade spirits are single minded. Representatives of one idea each (faith, sloth, rage, etc). She's more than that.

If she's anything otherworldly, I think it's something like Gaxkhang. But I'm not even sure of that. She seems a lot friendlier than he was. lol

I'd have to go with Flemeth. Morrigan is deceitful and conniving.

I don't trust either of them.

"Hey take my daughter with you on your quest because reasons."

She's totally going to try and get a demon baby out of this isn't she?

"What nooo! Where would you get a silly idea like that!"

Uh huh.

*Later at camp*

No I will not help you kill your mother, No I do not like you or find your company appealing, No I will not be taking you up on your ritual later so kindly **** off.

(This is the sumarized version of most of my DA:O runs in regards to Morrigan)

There's a whole lot of time in between 'shortly after you started traveling together' and 'the night before you fight the Archdemon'.  How about when she's asking you to do the little favor of murdering her mother?  That seems like an opportune time to bring it up, since you're already on the subject.

The other problem is the extortion aspect.  It's not just a 'by the way, if you do this I can save your life'.  It's 'if you don't do this, I'm going to leave and to hell with the world you need help saving'.

At the moment I trust Morrigan more. She has been on my team so she's my buddy ^^; I'll still be wary of her in DAI and I want to find out what she's doing with Celene.

In part I understand..but she does say when she brings it up to the warden( if asked if she knew all along) she says she did but would we have believed her if riorden did not tell us first( she had her doubts). So to me...it seems she had reasons for holding back. In a perfect world yes she would have been wrong on so many levels, but considering what that had to deal with between stupid nobles and darkspawn( and not being a perfect world). I don't see her as wrong completely, there is a lot of grey area here.
As for her leaving if not performed, she stated that this was something truly important to her( why, we don't know), and even shows that warden that she truly does not wish to leave but it is something that has to be done if refused. (As for those who had a hate relationship with her, that just explains itself). Also her role in this WAS the ritual, it's the only reason she was sent with you. Morrigan never would have joined if not for it. So in a sense it's kind of a slap in the face to morrigan. She played her part. I see more grey area here. To say she is decieitful and can't be trusted because of this makes no sense to me. Flemeth on the other hand has many reasons not to be trusted.

Morrigan of course. Both of them aren't the most trustworthy people, and both of them have some sort of hidden agenda but we've gotten to know Morrigan much more. She put herself more at risk to help the Warden and we know she has some kind of a heart underneath all that sinister exterior.

Morrigan, because I still think Flemeth is an untainted, but very much evil, Old God.

Neither.

They both have ulterior motives that they haven't revealed yet.

Neither. They are completely consumed with heir own motivations and the moment you do something that's counter to them they will turn on you. If I had to pick I'd go with Morrigan because she'd be easier to kill and as far as we know doesn't have a way to come back from the dead.

Well there is no denying that they have personal agendas. I mean the whole deal with Morrigan's personal quest kinda shows that.

From Origins and 2, the most trustworthy she has seemed was to be to Hawke, not the Warden, and that was for the short 10 minutes you had with Flemeth to run an errand. Whereas; you went an entire game with Morrigan, and she didn't betray the Warden because there was no reason. Eventually she trusted my Warden and saw her as a sister. You go through an entire game with someone, you eventually end up trusting them despite their personal agenda.

Without taking into account my personal feelings on the entire Black Grimoire in DA:O...

If what's been said about Flemeth is true, she's been around for centuries (if not millenia) without really bothering anyone or having a direct major impact.

Morrigan instated herself as an advisor to one of the most powerful regimes of Thedas.

I think I'll take the former; much less chance of something going terribly wrong.

I'll be quicker to place my trust in a Nug before either of them. They have their own ambitions and I'll be damned before I let them pull my strings.

I trust them both and distrust them both at the same time. It's very odd. I love them both soooo much and this is a problem, because Morrigan claims Flemeth is evil. It will be EXTREMELY difficult to choose between them. In the end, I'll have to do what is right or what my character feels is right, however. I hope Morrigan isnt right about Flemeth being evil and the issue is very grey. (opposed to black and white, good and evil) I have this dream that Flemeth will teach my Qunari Mage how to become a Dragon..

Morrigan. She's not as sketchy and secretive as Flemeth. Despite the fact that she took my Warden's child away, she was at least honest about it beforehand. I respect her for that.

Flemeth.

Because even if she does end up being an edritch abomination she has style, class and actually is as able to get people to do what she wants as Morrigan pretends to be.

Neither? But I'm less likely to side against Flemeth. If I anger her, she'll turn into a dragon and it's game over, man. If I anger Morrigan, she's gonna what, scowl at me? Call me dumb?

Morrigan is the arcane advisor to the Empress Celene and one of the most powerful mages in Thedas.

She also has the knowledge of Flemeth's Grimmoire, and the benefit of Flemeth's training.

Oh yeah, and in about 1/3 of the playthroughs, she has a child who is a god. Methinks she could handle you, mate.

No one can handle the Player Characters. Seriously. They're the Supermen of Thedas. Well, the Warden was. The less spoken about Hawke the better.

To answer the OP, I would trust neither.

Both women have proven themselves to be manipulative and self-serving, though of the two i would find myself more wary of Flemeth, if only because she is much more cunning and intelligent then Morrigan.

In my world state, at least, they are together.

Depends on it: Do you play the Warden (+ Morrigan) or the Inquisitor? Because the one you play wins.

Thinking about it, wouldn't that be one hell of a Boss Fight? And one hell of heartbreak?
