yea op's host. That Texas interwebs is sketchy. LolNever heard this? There's some problem when a host is using Fury? Or are you referring to the original poster's (Mrs_anomaly's) host?
I suck at the Fury, you're my only hope!

Yeah it definitely can be looked upon as cheesy but I have my reasons:
1)I've used the class maybe once- and therefore I can now unwrap her and she's a novelty for me unlike all the other veterans since I never used her.
2)I'm very low on the totem pole on PC with my manifest and I want to be able to utilize caster classes so that I can hold my own in Gold at least and maximize the damage I can put out despite my lame weapons scenario.
If you have a Hurricane I, you have plenty good enough weapons for her. I don't even bother with the Acolyte/Hurricane combo on the Fury, because I never find myself using the Acolyte. I just use the Hurricane to mow everything down that isn't blown up by BE's. I also sometimes use the Hurricane/Eagle combo on her, with the Eagle just providing something to switch to if I need to engage at long range (e.g., during a hack or escort).

This.
As for combos,
1. AF + throw - the standard way. Use venom to stagger mooks, run up to them and use throw on an enemy within AF radius.
2. DC + throw - on atlases and primes because they are cheating pieces of sh*t. I hate getting staggered and shield gated instantly when I run upto them.
3. DC + AF - the slightly less conventional way to do things. I use it on banshees (sometimes) while in their casting stance so as to not trigger their hand-of-denial.
As for other stuff, use AM III and spec AF for movement speed boost. This will help you close distances quickly and create BEs. Spec into shield drain evo of AF as well.
Looks like Venom is the new claymore in terms of general usage, albeit in a different manner

Yeah I think I need to do something or other with my router. Unfortunately I always forget to troubleshoot my router before I get on xbox- and when I get onto play my baby is sleeping in my arms by then LOL.

She is one of those kits were hosting will be the difference between a fun game and a frustrating one.
Apart from the usual probs off host can effect AF and makes it harder to use your sheild drain to keep her in the battle.
If you are going off host then use Cyclonics instead of AM . She is pretty fast anyway

falcon is my thing for kits like this. great CC with high ammo reserves compared to other similar role weapons. I use csmg sidearm.
fire falcon while running towards enemies to cc them, throw detonating ammo, get in annihilation field range, throw BE, falcon shot, throw BE, falcon shot, throw BE.
you get the picture.

The Fury is easy mode for n00bs anyway. Don't bother.

You can go with a lightweight weapon and BE all the things with AF+throw.
OR
You can play like you have some guts and slap a Raider with Adrenaline mod on her. Hell you may die but not till the enemies have **** their pants after you make one of their friends turn into a piece of crumpled dog **** when the Raider fires off point blank.

Easy mode, just run around and Acolyte + BE all the things. Most fun against Cerberus. Optional use Venom or Raider instead.
Hipster mode (but effective) , DC - shoot - if not dead finish with throw. Just host for better results. Optional you can use PPR / Typhoon instead.

This is how I currently have her. Haven't really deviated from this build as I don't really need to. I like to run either cyclonics or adrenaline mods on her cause she's a speedy BE powerhouse. I also like to have geth scanner on her to take advantage of her dodge teleport. It's especially awesome to use on the smaller maps and White. Consumables, gear and weapons are completely up to you. As far as combos go, AF + TH for close range, DC + TH for boss and distance targets. Venom is fun on her, so is the claymore and the rest of the shotguns. She's more of a CQC character. Just remember to check after each wave to see if your AF is even on cause nothing is more embarrassing than charging a spawn, expecting to decimate them with BEs just to find out that your AF isn't on. I cannot tell you how many times I have had that happen. I've eaten a blade or a hand because of that.

Honestly though, venom synergizes way better with the fury than claymore. Venom suits the fast paced, hit and run play style of the fury much better.

He. I feel bad at just saying this, but... Yeah. The claymore's too heavy for my tastes on the Fury. Even for my tastes XD
The Venom just fits her perfectly!

As was said before: start up AF at the beginning of each wave, run around, stripping defenses with the Acolyte then walking up to them and Throwing for a BE. Sometimes lag gets in the way; you need to make sure they turn blue then pause for maybe half a second to ensure the BE.
I seldom detonate DC. Mainly keep it out there to do perpetual damage. Also good for long range detonations during hacking or escort objectives.

I played with someone earlier today who used a build like this (no AF), he also used a Phalanx with AP rounds ![]()
I was disappoint.

AF(Radius) + Throw(Detonation Evo) + Hosting => Biotic Booms everywhere, even more fun when you have another Biotic in the Team.
And for Weapons ... im not spectacular in Weapons Choice, so don't kill me for this, but i run my Fury with an Eagle for Long Range Combat and a Hurricane as sidearm, because Sidearms !

my Fury builds and play style have evolved a lot, but she's always been my go to character. there are different ways to build and play her depending on what you really want to do. at her core though, she's basically a speedy biotic explosion machine. AF + throw are her core. weapon is really up to you - you'll just have to play around and find what you like. as with any other biotic or power based class, cooldown is a factor of course, but throw is already pretty quick - but if you want to carry a heavier weapon, you might take the cooldown bonus on throw. again, find her play style that's right for you.
I used to max DC, then tried her with no DC a couple times, but now like to go with DC up to 3 or 4 just for those occasional range hits or to start wearing down bosses. she's also at her core a CQC character. her strafe and teleporting and speed (assuming you'll take speed in AF, and/or use adrenaline) is something you'll just get used to with practice. I definitely recommend putting something into DC, because if you play her off host with bad lag, you'll still be able to use DC and actually be effective.
been running her with Venom/warp rounds a bit lately because it's so damn fun. Acolyte + Hurricane are/used to be her kind of mainstream loadout, now known as easy mode xD.
haven't been playing much of late, but you can check my builds in my manifest (PC jakenou, jkthunder xbx... ps3 is in there too), and I also have a ton of (now older) Fury gameplay vids in my youtube channel.

Fury is very lag sensitive. Safest to stun and run into large groups, which will replenish shields fast. Weapon is a very important choice and really depends on lag and play style. I prefer the Scorpion to stun enemies before I close in, as I play off-host.
Basically, get used to the combos, then try out different weapons (more stun or less stun) and see how it work out for you.

Been playing with Graal Fury lately, and it isn't bad at all. I think I prefer it over Claymore Fury, but I've only Fury Claymore'd once, and so, I'll see which one is good. It's a bit of a hassle to play with the Raider since there's no power to cancel the reload animation with besides "X" and power cooling down.

Is there an annihilation field bug that's common? Sometimes when I play a Fury it shows the AF animation, but nothing happens to nearby enemies. So I toggle AF again, the animation vanishes, but then nearby enemies start taking damage from it....

Yes Fury has a bug where the visual clue is sometimes reversed
