I suck at the Fury, you're my only hope!

One of my favorites! As others have said, she makes things go BOOM pretty often and pretty effectively. AF is also great for getting rid of those pesky little swarmers.

I go with a 6/6/6/5/3 build. Kind of squishy, but the damage you can do to most things is worth it. Especially the 6b evo on Dark Channel. Great for killing phantoms, Banshees, Brutes, Ravagers, and other armor and barrier enemies. Combine it with throw that is built up for max damage in base and biotic explosion damage, and you'll be hurting so many things. Geth are the only faction that it's not as effective on because of shields instead of barriers. But Acolyte shots quickly take those out.

AF I go with radius, damage, duration/shields. Radius for those enemies right around corners, duration lasts for most to all of a round, and drain for a quick charge up on shields.

Glass cannon approach (though, most adepts are).

I feel your pain, I struggled with the Fury for a long time. My first success was:

06666

Yep you read it right, I skipped AF.  This is considered heresy by BSN but it works by making the Fury a mid range castor.  I used the Eagle or Valkyrie on her, and did pretty well in Gold.  It's not a scoreboard topper but it's survivable.

I now run:

66606

Somebody suggested skipping passives (I like a full shield build) and I've never looked back. This is the only build I run now.

Adaptive war amp, Pistol amp III, Warp ammo IV and Cyclonic III/IV.   I use the Eagle with extended barrel and power amp (I also don't like the Acolyte).

While this kit struggles a bit with Phantoms, it dominates almost everything else.  You'll barely use the gun, especially on early Gold waves where you'll kill EVERYTHING! with BE's finished off with an extra throw if needed.

Graal with strength enhancers is all you need. :)

Dark Channel spec'd completely on the Fury is quite of a waste of points, in my opinion. It doesn't really do too much damage as it would on the Huntress. My Collector and Fury only have 3 points in Dark Channel for priming effect and Warp Ammo advantage.

This basically depends on how you want to play:

Speccing out of passives: You want to blow up all the things and not rely too heavily on weapons or don't care because you can bring strong ones to the table

Speccing into passives: You need more weapon power and have to forego on fitness or something different.

When you just want to blow up stuff, the passive tree offers nothing to invest in. Power damage doesn't factor into BE explosion damage, only the rank of the involved powers does.

I spec in to the N7 Fury passive to allow myself to take heavier weapons without severely affecting my cooldowns. I like to go with a all-around kind of build that will help me in surviving and dishing out a lot of damage either it be with power or weapons. If my cooldown is sufficient, both can be utilized depending on how heavy the gun is. I don't spec Rank 6 for Throw, because it doesn't add anything to biotic explosions.

Just go all the way and skip it altogether then ;)

Lol, I wish, but it would weaken my Javelin playstyle with her and any other weapon. I use a lot of Warp Ammo on her, and so, Dark Channel will be my priming power to get the most out of Warp Ammo. Also, I like to throw Dark Channel into close-tight enemies.

Your BEs are not as potent in damage then, because the rank of primer and detonator determines its damage. If you want maximum damage you may want to take both powers to maximum rank.

I'd suggest dropping DC as well, then.

And: Javelin? Really?

Dawww

Here's my Fury build and loadout ~ http://kalence.drupa...24N54384!G9D55G

^Used that for the Platinum Solo I did recently and was very happy! ^_^

The way I play the Fury is close combat relying mostly on AF + Throw to destroy all the things. Getting close to enemies with Annihilation Field active will prime them for a Biotic Explosion using throw. AF is that dark aura that surrounds your Fury when active. Just a warning: sometimes AF can be glitchty. It will show it as activated when it is actually off. You will know when you have the glitch if AF appears on, yet enemies are not being primed when you get close.

My main weapon is the Acolyte because it is just delicious when paired with the Fury. Tempest is what I bring for boss enemies or if I want more of a challenge and style points. Most people probably think I'm crazy for using it on Platinum, bwhahaha! It gets the job done just fine. I use the Power Magnifier on my weapons because I rely more on my powers than actually firing a weapon. I'm mostly doing BEs so the benefit is minimal, but I feel it is more useful than the magazine clips in my situation. I always use Warp Ammo.

Personally I like to max Dark Channel these days. Very useful against bosses and on maps where CC becomes suicidal. Like the Condor/Geth/Platinum game I had last night. I couldn't do my typical running around or I would get stun locked to death. Had to hang back and rely on DC + Throw for the most part. Your DC + Throw Biotic Explosions will be stronger as well with it maxed.

Usually I prefer taking a cyclonic because I'm constantly in the enemies face and taking damage, also because I'm usually playing Platinum. I can see how the adrenaline module would be helpful as well and is probably better when playing Gold games. Really just comes down to personal preference and what you're more comfortable with.

Crutch/Geth Scanner is a must when I play the Fury. That way I can see what spawns are safe to charge and where I can safely teleport. Speaking of teleporting... practice using her dodge and heavy melee if you can. Both can teleport you through walls which is extremely useful in getting out of bad situations and saving teammates. Just can be a bit hard to get used to.

Hopefully I could help you a bit.
You will be the one playing her, so do it in a way that you enjoy no matter how different or cheesy it seems to others. ;)

Big applaud for soloing platinum with Power/BE focused fury....... sans bsn favourite
claymoar.

The build has worked with me so far. I used to max out Throw, but then I always had the dilemma of wanting to choose either ranks 6a or b for the N7 Fury passive, therefore, I took the last point off of throw and put it on the Fury passive Rank 6a to allow me to carry heavier weapons. I always kept DC no matter how much I wanted to not spec into it, because it actually gives me a reason to use Warp Ammo with her, and if I'm gonna bring any weapon on her, I'd need DC for more powerful shots against enemies.

I have posted that I do use the Javelin with her, and it has become one of my personal favorites for her. Even solo'd Gold with it, and that was my first Fury solo too. I made a thread about it about 2 months ago. DC + Warp Ammo is how I sort role with her, which is why I keep the 3 points in DC.

Whenever I equip a Javelin, matchmaker lines me up against Collectors. On White. And all Abominations run after me. And then I keep missing my shots.
