Man, playing as this kit I can so get my butt kicked so hard at times. Especially if I'm not using cyclonics (why I maxed energy drain for now). I just did my first rage quit (well not quite rage, but meh) in recent memory. It was also Reapers/Rio, which I may dislike more then any other combination? Like wow, with this team, last game I was out of gels pretty fast too. And in this game by wave 5?! I'm totally not getting this guys rhythm anytime soon for all kinds of setups (used the Falcon last game). The #1 rhythm I want to get right is melee and melee range. Cause this is the most unique thing about this kit. The shield. Otherwise I may as well play any other kit. And getting that rhythm right is nothing but putting in the time cause I need to learn awareness of enemy placement very well... crap, I forgot the Geth Scanner in them two matches. It definitely helps a ton out to get a better hang of this matter & making it easier too.

 

Well, you guys definitely answered all my questions I've had and things I had no clue about. Will ask more if any come up? Now it's just a matter of me putting in the time... feel free to keep adding too. Cause I will read it all. No matter how long.

 

 

 

 

Oh, and I know some are going to say "But Sinful, I thought you loved a challenge?" Well yeah, but it don't mean I'm a masochist.  ... Though wait, my fave 2D scrolling shooter is easily Gradius III Arcade. A game most label for masochists only (though it's really not that bad at all, I think... I almost there to one day beast it ). You Tube "Gradius 3 cube rush" by tv1ks, to get a sample of one of the most hardest sections in a videogame, and this guy makes it look like a joke by making it harder and leaving extra enemies to shoot at him. Trust me, it's a very good vid that all must see for all. If you want more, watch someone do a full run + higher loops where things get really evil with suicide bullets everywhere.

My Paladin build:
6/0/6/6/6.
I run with a wraith, and crucially important, incendiary ammo.

Most of my damage comes from Tech explosions. I can set up and detonate any tech explosion in the game. The incendiary ammo gives me a way to prime fire explosions, at virtually any range thanks to the tight grouping of the wraith. The wraith is also handy for killing shots, as it does a good amount of damage.

The shield is very situational, I have seen people wipe themselves repeatedly because they tried using it when they shouldn't have. But being able to block a doorway while your team regroups behind you instead of being overrun and scattered is invaluable the few times it's needed. Handy for botched extractions as well.

Also, if someone on your team has chain overload, run together and use snap freeze followed by chain overload. Will detonate multiple cryo explosions.

Yes. Break plates over your face and you get an idea of the sound effects you will hear.

Some people sure hate cryo explosions. I love them so much, I've gotten the Cryo Blast tech achievement and I've never even played a kit with a cryo power.
